  1. work all finished, treated my self to fish and chips on the way home. the house needed to air out from the heat, but its really nice sitting on my phone in the back.
  2. i think it sounds like great news, name a notts fan who does not want to see academy players reach their potential or help us to move forward up the leagues? we need to try harder to get homegrown players into our team.
  3. great photo of 3 ex notts players, two who really did give their all and one unfortunate to get injured.
  4. @Piethagoram, would being paid composition for being sacked really prevent luke williams from being hired? or is the wait connected to notts? i guess swansea could have made some sort of restriction to stop him coming straight back, but i dont see a club preventing a manager from finding a new team just because they fired him. its a curious situation but i dont buy it myself.
  5. they did really well to get back into the game after going down by 5, seeing them pull them back with goal gave a real sense of achievement and it could have almost been fully overturned from the poor start.
  6. i like it, not sure i would buy one but i think its a good replica. i bet fans who watched notts in the 90s will be flocking to get one. bonus points to the fans who have the original shirt. 😁
  7. is that not one of those accounts that spit out random rumours in the hope that some stick, but very rarely do they ever. @ARLukomski can we trust this?
  8. the lower down you are, the more you have to way up if you sign players who are injury prone or go for upcoming younger players. since we do need experience and someone to take command of the midfield i think this is a good signing and i agree that there is plenty of cover in midfield. if he does well and gets injured, we might miss him but the worst case is that he does not make any impact. it seems more beneficial to take him on and i think the deal reflects the worries.
  9. @Robbie, probably both club and player deciding that the national league is not for him and carlisle might be hoping to return to the efl at their first try. i think will really does need to settle, but if he signed for an irish team. i think he will find it harder to claim up the english leagues. hes at the age where he needs to be a clubs main midfielder, but he is not. i do think hes a good player.
  10. probably german, as our shore lines played a big part in keeping hitler away from us and only attacking by air.
  11. i think sometimes players like this can surprise, when they fit in a good hard working squad. i understand your view point and i get what you are saying, its all very fair but i do think teams make mistakes when they try to sign players like mk dons have done in recent years. gillingham signed well last season and it took them time, carlisle is another team. maybe we are trying to add some graft and hard workers to our ranks?
  12. we have given him a step up, he did well last season and i think our squad is strong enough to bring out the best in others, so i think he will be a very good signing. there is limited risks with free signings, all we can hope is he plays a role in our achievements and hits the ground running.
  13. he looks to be a very interesting signing, i hope he manages to net over 10 goals for us in his first season. i dont really care if he was released or had rejected an offer from his previous club, all i care about is notts doing well.
  14. keep him fit, i am sure he will make a good impact in the team. introducing players who are creative and demonstrate a good level of leadership will help when we have those crucial games where we are playing matches were we might struggle with performance or just getting the result needed. i am very happy with the signing.
  15. i can understand the concerns about his injuries and at his age, he will be starting to fall in terms of his ability but the experience players like him bring not just to the starting 11 but dressing room can make an impact. i think we will have weighed up all the concerns about ollie, and decided that he would still be a key player for any league one team. so, i do think its a good signing for us. notts just has to make sure we play him when its best and hope he can bring his leadership to the team in a strong way.
  16. i wonder if another country would have formed or if it would have been split between us and the netherlends/belgium? interesting article and video.
  17. probably not the type of keeper we will go in for. πŸ˜₯ i take it he did well for slovenia in goal?
  18. it could do with some reverb work other than paining, but the closure is going to cause a lot of traffic around meadow lane.
  19. @Piethagoram @Robbie, i think will really needs to fight more to stay settled. if carlisle dont want him, i think it will be a failed move and he needs to find somewhere more permanent to prove himself. i thought he would have done well for them in the national league.
  20. considering bayern are a very, very good professional team i see no negatives in them losing by 10-0, as robbie said, its something to learn from. it will be a good experience for some of the auckland players.
  21. hello, welcome to the pride of nottingham @STAT. if you support notts, why not tell us how many years you have been a supporter.
  22. hello, welcome to the pride of nottingham @Alan Underwood. how many years have you supported notts? assuming you. :)
  23. i started the day as per usual, i fetched my mums weekly shopping and took it to her. i then spent a few hours helping to do things mum needed hep with, before i took my dad out to his favourite pub for carvery. its been hot in spells, but the breeze and weather has been lovely. happy fathers day to all the dads on pon!
