i think we need to keep ollie norburn off, because i can see chesterfield targeting him and its important we have 11 players. i would welcome back scott robertson if hes fit enough, hopefully include the skipper matt palmer and have the starting lineup able to switch to four at the back. i think if we go there and do well, it will help in the home tie but drawing might be the best outcome considering it means both teams will have to go for it.

the former admin mark posted something very similar yesterday and leading into the final game on the facebook group. we need to be thankful and understand that the club is ambitious but we just need that extra bit to go further. win promotion this season, its going to be a tough time for some to see us require time to adapt to league one. we are thanks to the reedtz comfortable in league two but things can change. thats football and i just hope we can just give a good account of ourselves. afc wimbledon outplayed us in both legs, we did not look strong enough and that was bitterly disappointing. this time we have to try harder, even if it means we are out played by a team who deserves it more.

out of all the starting 11 for me it is nick tsaroulla and jodi jones. i think jones played his best match for us for awhile, he looked like he used to do before he got injured. some of his crosses just needed better attacking, which is part of where my criticism for jatta would come in. he never positioned himself all that well, and wasted what he did control. i though lucas ness and rod mcdonald did very well. ollie norburn made some poor passes, but worked hard to keep notts on the front foot. if our attack was a little more focused i think we could have been more up before bristol rovers scored. this is not solely aimed at jatta, but grant, luker and others when it comes to shooting on goal.

i wonder if the gaffer is laser focused on the bristol rovers player. if the bottom half is anything to go by, i would hate to see the top. i imagine something like cyclops from xmen. 🤣

i hope we can regroup and have a real good go at the playoffs, i was disappointed by the lack of fight against afc wimbledon but it might be a blessing. i just hope we prove we are good enough to go up, i would prefer saturday to go our way but i think its unlikely. if we can really start strong in the playoffs, maybe we can repeat our promotion a few years ago but more convincingly.

i love the optimism but i dont think we can rely on the other results, if cambridge draw they have to hope that we concede more i think. if salford win, they will go up and it will be grim seeing them join mk dons. i want to hope that it is possible but i dont think it is likely, we have had our chance and despite some small minor hopes the fixtures have gone our way enough when it looked doubtful. i think believing will lead to further heartbreak, so i am prepared for the playoffs. i just hope we approach them wanting to prove we are deserving to get to wembley. or this could be all reverse psychology.

i have another two weeks away from notts, then i can come back to my normal job and be ready for any openings higher up. it has been very demanding but i have enjoyed the learning side of things. i know most of the role, its just being recognised and having the formal training on my cv. i do like how my work place handles training as they do give you a pathway to other positions if you work hard. sorry i have not been on all that much i still have issues with my data and the internet is not much better. coming home at the weekends i just want to catch up with my family and relax. its nice to see my friend @CliftonMagpie had been on in the other weekly chat. i miss seeing him at games.

i think martin paterson has won most fans over and it would be a shame to see him leave. until we know for sure, i wont worry because there is a chance someone else will be hired first. job security in football is hard, and i wonder how the reedtz will see how patto has done in comparison to stuart maynard. there could be the argument that promotion is the only way to secure is job. will they sak him if we fail? i hope not, because i think patto has what is needed to be a very good manager.

yes i had this when i was 16 until i turned 18, i am taller than most and i often rudely got asked to prove i was not 18 when i was. i learned to avoid certain turnstiles and noticed that entering the car park side tended to be better. accusing someone of lying, and then trying to get them to prove their age because others do it is not right. i dont blame the staff, i blame who ever told them to do it that way. i can remember when you met up with me and lewis, asked at the gates to be ignored and then was told to go through the turnstile with your broken leg. most staff are friendly but some are not people persons.

cheltenhams second goal, their player had all the time in the world and both of their goals were poor marking decisons. some fans made comments about james belshaw not reacting but what could he have done? Maybe he could have done something with the second goal but the first happened quickly. he made some very good instinctive decisions to claim loose balls i thought he did well despite them coming back into the game. notts always looks better in the second half, there was calmness about the play and it was very entertaining to see us attack.

i wished conor grant had shown the spark he did against accrington but i think he was pretty quiet, most of the players did very well and i think my choice would be between jodi jones and tom iorpenda but i have gone with who i felt played brilliantly throughout.

i think my concerns have been addressed, as he looks fully capable and i think if he was here at the start of the season he would be fighting matt dennis to be our highest goal scorer and jatta of course.

it will sound like excuses but there is not enough time in the day, my training is going well but i have not had any chance to get on here previously. i am away from home until the weekends and you dont realise how bad the internet can be when in a poor signal area. i am well, i do miss the community here.

when notts starts like they did yesterday, you know that its all down to execution when it comes to chances. very good football in both halls and notts created many chances. alassana jatta looks back to himself, but i wished he would focus a bit more when it comes to his decisions. brilliant play for the assist, a real joy to watch.

conor grant gets my vote, he was the heart beat and really put aside some of the criticism he has gotten all season. hope it helps to bring some consistency but hes a good player.

would it not be like notts to go second, only to need to win or draw on the final day to stay into automatics only to fall into the playoffs? or even, to remain in the playoffs. its been a good season, we have learnt lessons and there is that sign tat we are getting stronger. whatever happens i want to keep building and i hope paterson takes his first season as a chance to further improve himself. if we go up, so be it. i will be delighted. if we go out in the playoffs or dont make it, i will feel some disappointment but i do think its more important to be ready. paterson might gain more if we was not to go up, but this is not me wishing for this scenario at all.

i can see what martin paterson tried to do with the subs but it felt like the wrong time to make the changes at least to me, i dont think you can change so much when you lose a player and the games starting to get blown open. yes the referee did not handle the game all that well, but i do think the sending off was the right call but its his poor control that i point out. missed some fouls, and played on. grimsby was not bad, but their defence should have been beaten. i would have been happy with a draw. i also hate how keepers go down when the pressure is on, they should be forced to go off like outfield players because it wont happen but it cant happen really.

i went to visit my mum in the morning, then went to fetch her shopping and took it back. i stayed to have something to eat, she cooked a sunday roast and my aunt and uncle came over to join us. i have been busy during the week with work, and i found less time to check on things. i was not able to go to yesterday game as i was with my dad who asked me to drive him to covent garden. would have liked to have made the game but i did like the change in some ways.

happy belated birthday @super_ram, i am glad you had a nice day and got to see your grandchildren on chris side. i hope you got to see the others too.

i hope york city and carlisle united gain promotion, those are the two teams i am cheering on. i think they both deserve efl status.

hes bouncing around rather than building and accepting jobs that seems based on name and the smallest hint of gaining a managerial role. i think he should have stayed and learned under wolves, if they still wanted him.

certainly i think the defending was better than our attack, but had that near miss of ours where lee ndlovu tried stretching to reach the ball it could have been different but matty platt played brilliantly.

if you manage to stay on as a contracted employee, they give you training every year and the longer you are with them the more advanced it gets. i am quite familiar with my line managers role and his bosses duties, so i think the training is very useful because its another level but it does not mean i will be advancing any time soon. still i am grateful to be receiving it. thank you, michael. it is a good thing to be able to have the training to move forward if that opportunity presents itself. again, thank you. i noticed chris walking to his seat from the steps near the chip van but i did not get to speak to him either. i dont think he would want anyone to be concerned but it is understandable. i think chris will know that a lot of the community cares, but i am sure if he noticed messages like this and from tony that it would make him feel well supported. negativity can be difficult, but i dont think this season has been any more or less than previous years. i just hope that he manages to start to find a way to cope with his pain because it sounds like it makes everything else a lot worse.

i am not adding this to be negative but i thought straight away, here is the new junior morias. i hope lee ndilovu gets more of a chance but i dont see the arrival as a big fuss. yes, i would rather notts have a third striker because it costs us when we lose alassana jatta or matt dennis but i dont see how paying for a striker that does not have a good pedigree at professional level after allowing someone who seems quite similar to go for free after not playing them. ndilovu looked a bit short for me and one of the floating reasons morias was suggested to be out of favour was due to that, some fans near where i sat suggested hes fast but morias was like lightening when he found his stride. morias and lewis knight are two of the fastest players i have ever seen. tho i admit, pace and height means nothing when a players got a natural instinct of following the game and putting goals away. i would hope that our quality makes it easier, but his goal ratio hardly is impressive. we just have to hope we play him and he does do well for us. thats what i hope for, and i hope again we dont have another player who is wasted.

nick tsaroulla would be my man of the match and he gets my vote, i am surprised nobody else has really voted for him. i laughed when ollie norburn was voted as the official man of the match because i thought he was pretty average. tom iorpenda was good, so i understand why he is popular in the votes but i dont think he was all the good defensive. much better going forward but even then he made some poor decisions. tsaroulla for me was far more consistent, i thought norburn and jodi jones were quite poor by their own standard.
