  1. its sad, i never watched it because i thought the quality lacked but some of the shows which highlighted nottingham were promising. i think if it was around for another 5-10 years it would be a lot better, which is a shame because i think it does offer a lot for people 40+. i am not of the generation that sat around the tv all day, i do watch a fair bit but never enough to really commit. i can understand why a lot of people would feel disappointed in this decision and as said before me, it would have helped journalists, videographers and a lot of students.
  2. i believe certain cinemas have a scheme where they allow residents of care homes with disabilities access to screenings. yet i think this is brilliant, people should not miss out on the experience just because they are disabled and things like this helps to be inclusive. it must be horrible for some not to be in a position to see the latest films and living the same day. this must make a huge difference to the lives it supports.
  3. i have caught that bug again, i feel tired, my head hurts and its making me very sluggish. i managed to do my shift but i felt sick throughout. i am going to rest soon because i dont want to miss tomorrows game. i hope everyone else is okay. @Robbie what have you been upto? i hope you are well.
  4. we just took our feet of the pedal against colchester especially in the second half, i would hope we try to not rely on the defence to cut out the mistakes we played ourselves into because tranmere will be more of a threat i feel. i can see it ending as another draw, unless we are brighter on goal and more creative. i would like to see mai traore start, i think bringing him off from the bench does not help him to get his speed up. we could replace him later on if needed, but match fitness will come with game time.
  5. its a bit of a concern when we have so many out during a key stage but i hope we can manage. david mcgoldrick is a big miss, i am pleased jodi jones is not serious. we could do with scott robertson, but hes out pretty much for the rest of the season and i think we do miss lewis macari.
  6. sorry been a bit busy and forgot to vote.
  7. we volunteer, most of us do it just to help the site and chris. i offer support, but i am happy to assist with moderation. chris kept asking me over a period of time, and finally agreed because i wanted to do more to help. nobody ignores reports, we want everyone to get along and that not always be possible but my fellow team mates do a good job robbie. it might be disappointing or frustrating at times but nobody is against you. you bring a lot to the community and i want to encourage that, but please can we try to just get along. i dont think its wrong to want the best, but the bickering with politics needs to stop and we need to continue treating everyone as we would without that stuff. nobody should take things personally, but its hard. if something personal is said, we need to try to avoid further hurt and just take a step back. its good to report things, robbie. it helps chris and most people do choose to ignore things. the report system does work, sometimes it might take time for action but sometimes there is no need. once chris sees this, maybe he will have thoughts on the report system. lets do best by pon and continue to grow as a community. we all have the power to make the best experience for all involved.
  8. i am just wrapping up work, a quick drive home to wash and get changed. then a quick look to find something to eat before getting a bus to meadow lane. i dont like parking near the ground on week days. im looking forward to watching the game.
  9. i miss her, i enjoyed talking to granny pie a lot. she would always tell me to use her real name but i did not until i wrote goodbye to her. i am thinking of everyone, esp super and chris.
  10. it will just be how we manage the minutes in the game as stuart maynard says, we need to be braver to make changes before we do go down and if in the lead handle it better. we can protect our leads, but we can gift goals. port vale look quite ropey from what i have seen from their highlights, i hope we can put into practice some set piece routines because i think it would pay off. i do feel the same though, but sill quietly confident.
  11. does nobody think its weird that john eustace has left a team 5th in the championship for a team struggling at the bottom? i hope for derby and @super_ram the decision works out but it does seem weird to me. if eustace is feeling like he has done all he can with them, and therefore sees derby as a challenge i would get it. i feel its good for derby, but questionable on eustaces side.
  12. i think they wanted the wealdstone job, unfortunately managed to convince notts to mutually agree release of their contracts and now they are jobless. the interview just plays around things, he wanted to be a manager but why quit during the season and without having a job lined up? i am sure notts allowed them to go because they felt it would help the saunders brothers.
  13. the focus has to be on the game plan and how we can execute it, even if we have to change our tactics in game because port vale are forcing it. i am hoping we will have news of david mcgoldrick, as for jodi jones we can wait a little both will be a loss whilst out but jodi needs extra care.
  14. the thing which league teams need to understand that relegation could be like many before, a way to allow them to get the club focused on doing the right things. you dont end up in relegation fights without reason. only smaller clubs would be concerned that it might not see them turn out this way, i think the majority would become instant big clubs tho.
  15. @Robbie made me aware of it, and it was being sorted by @Chris as @Fan of Big Tone posted. say that in real life. both teams are in good form, neither have lost and that gives the game higher stakes. i am hoping it forces the game to be focused on attacking, openly and both teams giving it their all but i do think it might be a game where both cancel each other out. i really do feel this will end in a 2-2 draw, if not that it still a draw. its better than being defeated, so i would take the point. @menzinho has mentioned about how we have done against top teams and it will be a game which might start allowing more fans to believe we can get automatic promotion.
  16. very saddened by the news, its a shame. rest in peace
  17. why have we made him a director when he is the already the clubs ceo, what does this exactly mean with his job title? i am not that worried about us needing to find someone else to take on the recruitment, as they will probably be someone from with football radar.
  18. i dont really care about either, i think ronaldo challenged himself more whereas messi has taken an easier route but both are incredibly talented.
  19. did anyone else notice that morecambe at first allowed us to play? there was some challenges in the first 10, 15 minutes but it was only once notts started to really show their class that morecambe reverted to their aggressive and silly challenges. the referee should have warned and issued cards to them much sooner, and if he had it might have saved jodi jones from being taken off. it felt like a matter of time before we took the lead, i was pleased for charlie whitaker because he had good chances in both halfs before his goal. we played very well as a team, morecambe did make it hard but mostly because they were very dirty.
  20. i am pleased for charlie whitaker, i thought he played very well.
  21. but he jumped on the rumours of signing macaulay langstaff on loan and that seems to never have been the case. https://uk.linkedin.com/in/richard-montague-25931812 richard montaque does come from football radar. why would he jump ship to go work with luke williams, when williams has publicly said that he does not go near the swansea dressing room and has been negative of the squad that he has there. it was not that long again he was linked to west brom, so we need to stay in the real world.
  22. i think more league two teams will be the stumbling point and i can see them being listened to more due to their professional standings in football, but i think 3 is fair. it makes sense.
  23. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @andrew lord. i hope you find the site fun and become a regular contributor to pon.
  24. Burton Albion 1-1 Blackpool Huddersfield Town 0-2 Reading joker Barrow 0-1 Gillingham Fleetwood Town 2-1 Cheltenham Town Salford City 0-0 Tranmere Rovers Aldershot 0-1 AFC Fylde Dagenham & Redbridge 3-1 Yeovil Town Solihull Moors 0-1 Oldham Athletic
  25. i dont know if its me but today feels very cold, even this morning i felt like i had woken up on one of the coldest days of the year. im trying to keep warm, so for dinner i went to look around nearby shops and decided to eat out instead having my packed launch. i will have it once home, where i can keep nice and warm. @super_ram @Robbie sorry to read about the noise problems, i live next door two elderly couples and they are great. i dont like loud noises so i can understand the annoyance when it happens very often and without warning. i personally think excessive noise should be treated more severely by noise polluion.
