  1. £150,000?? surely it dont cost that much to repair that damage. anyone want to start a football pitch repair company with me? if that is the price to have a small area fixed, imagine how much you can get to have the whole pitch done. if they are doing it all, i think its wrong to ask people to donate to achieve it when its only a small part.
  2. david mcgoldrick will be starting up top then, i think it means we need to save jevani brown for any attacking cover, instead of him coming on for someone else and then we have nobody to fill that gap. yes we can change how the team is playing on the pitch, but if we have a defensive player coming on and someone else gets nudged up, it would be better if that player was saved. i think morecambe will be a difficult team to play, but i think if we play as a team and focus on the chances we should do well.
  3. i hope mk dons continue to struggle, because they feel they are bigger than they are and are one of the worst clubs for thinking they deserve to be somewhere they have never been. them making it the championship has shown that they are still a small club, if they were as big as they think, that should have been a turning point. here they are back in league two, signing other clubs successful managers hoping it will make them a good team.
  4. i guess some players might hold the manager more responsible for bad spells in their careers, there are so many reasons why two people would not get along and with social media everything is always more open than it would be without.
  5. i am looking forward to making the trip to morecambe tomorrow, i just have a few more hours at work and i can then sort everything ahead of the day. work is slowing down, but soon we will be hit with the demand leading up to christmas which is the busiest period. i am enjoying the slowness for once.
  6. Middlesbrough 2-1 Stoke City joker Millwall 0-3 Preston North End Blackpool 1-0 Burton Albion Wigan Athletic 1-1 Exeter City Gillingham 1-0 Barrow Newport County 2-2 Crewe Alexandra Woking 1-0 Sutton United Yeovil Town 0-0 Aldershot
  7. it sounds like morecambe are having ownership problems which could be the worst outcome for them with the way the seasons progressing, i wish them well. we have been here before, where owners have no idea and literally split the fan base in half. leading to the club falling to the wrong end of league two. its a shame to see this happening to morecambe.
  8. i did not go, but i listened and have read comments. along with watching the highlights. kellan gordon gets my vote, i think with jodi being out he should be able to step up. he seems to have a great cross on him.
  9. i am very pleased for him, it looks like a milestone that will hopefully see the club push our youngsters to be more involved. the only way they will improve is by playing, if they play and dont reach the level we need, fair enough but giving kameron muir this surely means he has a bright future for us?
  10. i think the efl trophy is a great time to include young players, it gives us fans something to actually be encouraged by because i dont find the competition has ever really been taken seriously. i think notts does, but from the fans perspective it could be a lot better. i am please kameron muir got to come on and has become our youngest player, as i say, it gives you something to be invested with.
  11. it wouldn't surprise me if we did call the game off, so that could focus on the weekend but that is not very notts like. i dont think the result matters, but the performance does because that can cause poor performances in the league. i think we have to play at least 5 regulars, give aidan stone the chance ahead of sam slocombe. i dont think it will happen tho, but i would because stone is better with the ball at his feet.
  12. i dont think we need to dwell on the missed chances, but mark stallard is right and goals change games. just like poor officials which was the real talking point. i was hoping that would be pointed out when i came home after the game listening to the radio but it seems only bbc radio nottingham discuss controversial moments when its forest. its a bit disappointing, but mark stallard is right with his comments. i know he spoke about it during the game, but it was absent at the end.
  13. this is why some teams just need to hoof the ball, they play themselves into danger and look stupid for making rushed decisions. its a very poor pass that led to the own goal.
  14. @Robbie we had a thing for signing players related to famous players, in some form or another. he was very poor from my memory. only good relation i can remember is thomas ince. he looked great and i wished we could have signed him whilst his dad was the manager. paul was a rubbish manager tho. jack barmby was good, his dad was a very good player. it did not pass down.
  15. raddy looked like he knew he had made the mistake but had forgotten where his position was, the everton keeper was well beyond the area and knew exactly what he was doing.
  16. so ceefax was the bbc, but teletext was a similar thing but non bbc and commercial? looking into the difference i found the reason why its called ceefax - see facts. quite obvious once you know.
  17. welcome to the pride of nottingham @Shannon Daly.
  18. i did not pay attention to the gate either, i was too invested in hoping we could score and get a point. though the stands did look busier than 11,000.
  19. i have no issue with harry kane and if he is selected to play, when hes not doing well then its a managers problem. england fans like to pick at players, support is not easy to give by some but the moment success is had, then they love it and try to shower themselves in the glory. its silly. we should encourage and support our players, no matter what.
  20. i think we might only learn about jodi jones after tomorrows efl trophy game. it could be after the game in the post match comments. it would be a big talking point, i just hope jodi is okay.
  21. when you go into a pub and the barman or whoever asks if you want to order a drink. even though the food till is at a different end of the bar, or even if its not. what can i get you is much more appropriate.
  22. it looks like the team has improved a lot since last season and have started very well, the limit in promotion from the league seems to limit things but its positive signs. i am pleased the pies picked up another win!
  23. its a good signing for boreham wood, issue for me is not his ability or how he performs but he just has not settled. the aberdeen move seemed like a dream move, but i think it happened to early for him. he would have done better to sign for a league two team, get minutes and more experience and stay settled for a few seasons before making the step up. he never seems to settle, so how does consistency come? stockport did not really make use of him, same at colchester. this is his chance to do that.
  24. these are great pictures! the nest looks busy!! pleased to see @Turkey_Twizzler and @ARLukomski. well done, @Chris.
  25. i dont think the defeat dampens the mood, but we do need to accept results like this and just work on winning what we can. i think most wont get carried away, but some always will. this defeat for some will be the end of the world, but its not. notts played well and controlled the game. it was a single goal that made the difference, but a draw would have been fairer, there is nothing we can do now.
