  1. i can understand the concerns about his injuries and at his age, he will be starting to fall in terms of his ability but the experience players like him bring not just to the starting 11 but dressing room can make an impact. i think we will have weighed up all the concerns about ollie, and decided that he would still be a key player for any league one team. so, i do think its a good signing for us. notts just has to make sure we play him when its best and hope he can bring his leadership to the team in a strong way.
  2. i wonder if another country would have formed or if it would have been split between us and the netherlends/belgium? interesting article and video.
  3. probably not the type of keeper we will go in for. 😥 i take it he did well for slovenia in goal?
  4. it could do with some reverb work other than paining, but the closure is going to cause a lot of traffic around meadow lane.
  5. @Piethagoram @Robbie, i think will really needs to fight more to stay settled. if carlisle dont want him, i think it will be a failed move and he needs to find somewhere more permanent to prove himself. i thought he would have done well for them in the national league.
  6. considering bayern are a very, very good professional team i see no negatives in them losing by 10-0, as robbie said, its something to learn from. it will be a good experience for some of the auckland players.
  7. hello, welcome to the pride of nottingham @STAT. if you support notts, why not tell us how many years you have been a supporter.
  8. hello, welcome to the pride of nottingham @Alan Underwood. how many years have you supported notts? assuming you. :)
  9. i started the day as per usual, i fetched my mums weekly shopping and took it to her. i then spent a few hours helping to do things mum needed hep with, before i took my dad out to his favourite pub for carvery. its been hot in spells, but the breeze and weather has been lovely. happy fathers day to all the dads on pon!
  10. do you miss it @BradtheMiller? i do like your current ground tho.
  11. your not the same when you dont have a snickers. haha
  12. i had to have my windows open today it was that hot, i normally dont like it and i kept the back door open just to give the house somewhere for the heat to go. i hope we get a bit of a break, i love the sun but the heat can be too much.
  13. i always preferred to bike to places, but i am thankful that nottingham at least has a good public bus service which has good routes.
  14. i have only ever seen pictures of them, i did see one being used as an event thing in the city centre a few years back. newer buses are something we should be thankful for, but those early ones are iconic.
  15. brill story, i can see them making a tv film about it. 😁 its a true football story.
  16. the decision to sack stuart maynard came pretty quick after the defeat to afc wimbledon, so something must something happening. i think if the decision was going to be 'easy' we would have seen it by now, so i personally rule out joao alves and luke williams. i just think if they were real candidates they would have been announced by now.
  17. i tend to go straight in and i time it before the queues start to form, only exception is if i am meeting up my dad and uncle. or at times with @TheSkipper or @CliftonMagpie. once inside i dont really mind how busy it gets, it feels like we are all behind the club the moment the game starts to build up.
  18. i wish him well with his new role, it would be nice to see him doing well as an assistant. good luck to jon stead.
  19. hello, @Miles3659. welcome to the pride of nottingham.
  20. i have watched them in the past and thought it was very promising with how good some of the players were, some are now in the main england squad and have become restrained and predictable.
  21. i cant help but think rules are being made complicated because of all the fuss of what is and is not offside, it should be fair and clear as to what is.
  22. i started watching notts occasionally in the family stand, at first getting the free tickets from school. i was not interested in sports but i like it from the first time i watched. i think we were playing bury. i just felt like it was a club that looked after their fans and the fans looked after each other. in my mid teens i started going to watch games in the kop. my dad as mentioned is a forest fan by heart but has been watching notts for 6 years now with my uncle both as season ticket holders. the family stand was nice, but i like the atmosphere and friendliness of the kop.
