it was a masterstroke to talk sunderland into letting us sign alex bass and the undisclosed fee sounded reasonable, i think repeating this would be hard when teams are aware we are now selling players for a profit and that can lead to people wanting more money. its still very much worth exploring, i dont know if there is any good free agents in this area of the pitch but i hope we can identify a signing that has the experience we need.

i wished the women team would look for volunteers to help keep things updated, it would help them grow amongst the supporters.

usually i dont think the club would make signings whilst they were in germany, i think those deals tend to be concluded before and after. it looks like we are considering some of the trialists, as i dont think we would take and play them just to make up the numbers. its difficult to say which or if any deserve being offered a deal. i still hope that notts sees that alex bass is worth replacing for a transfer fee, we ideally could do with a keeper that can grow alongside us and already has experience.

i dont know what is likely to happen with regards to this but at least it predates joining us. i think its quite a serious thing tho, if he has gambling issues he needs the support to get it stopped. i hope its just a fine and the worst case scenario a short ban from playing.

i think its one of the best signings salford have made, jorge grant must have been doing well for Hearts to keep him for so long. its a shame that we did not look to bring him back because he would do well in our squad i think.

david Braig fpr stuttgarter kickers is a very good player, even at 33 i am sure he will be a threat against us. i think we should be able to compete more against them so it should be interesting and a better game for people to see how things are improving. main thing right now is the fitness and getting players more match sharp.

you would rarely find me without a tshirt on but i cant stand changing tshirts multiple times a day. besides nobody lives with me, so they wont be shocked. it really is unbearable with how warm it can get. i hate moaning about the weather but if you threw me against the wall i would be stuck to it like one of slimy children toys.

before the trews bought notts, i would make sure i had proof to show the reedtz just how much good they did and just how them buying notts at this point after munto collapsed could see them push on further with their data and restructuring. i honestly feel we would be a championship team if this was the case.

i dont like psg, they lost their soul when they got took over and became a franchise type of team. i really hope chelsea can win because it looks better for the premier league and it shows you dont have to be like psg.

hearts recently sold jorge grant to salford city. did you ever get to see grant play for them @theAnticlough? the last time i saw a picture of their ground, it looked a lot different. now it looks very nice and much longer. i do wonder if meadow lane is steeper and that makes it look different?

i think looking at the squad these are our options based on being here for some time, which is why i think matt palmer is the clubs choice. curtis edwards is quieter than matt palmer, and he has not been the same since he got injured. i know people say this about palmer but you can still see him being very important to the first team. whereas edwards looks at least to me a squad player who is capable of stepping up further when hes in form. obvious candidates matty platt, jacob bedeau, conor grant, jodi jones, alassana jatta, [matt palmer] provided we can keep him and get more from him, i think lewis macari could be a good call in the future, i would say the same about scott robertson but paring him as a starting 11 looks unlikely and i do think macari has the most potential.

so what does this actually mean? has the fa or whoever spoken about how they plan to move forward now?

i had a feeling he would want to go to a league one team, but i am surprised a team like barnsley ended up being his destination. i thought he would choose a team a little more local and i think part of me was worried it might be mansfield since he has played for every other club in the east midlands.

yeah, it would be nice to see it being used as an extension to what is happening. some things might not be right as a conversation, such as more personal things and that is where the status feature could thrive. i did not know about it until tone shared about his running, or i had forgot about it. i have used it to check in with people too.

good to see the pictures and video of the players training, i hope its not as hot there as we have it because i would find it hard to train in the heat. its great to see the lads pushing themselves, and its nice that martin paterson sees that our fitness levels are important for the success he wants to bring. fc kaiserlautern sound like another great test.

most players his age by now are released by united, so he has something about him and being loaned out last season gives him plenty of experience. i dont read much into it when the club says they beat off bigger clubs, as i think its more about the player wanting to be a part of the right environment and i think we do offer a lot for a young player. hope he enjoys playing at meadow lane and in front of us notts fans. we will make him feel at home.

@Simon Clark, its okay, because jatta will snap their legs if they try it. 😂 no i would agree, it might be best to see how the game goes and bring him on from off the bench if its safe.

i hope he does not find himself without the chance to play, because we need to be ensuring those with fight starts games and with the amount of games it could be worth rotating at key teams so we reserve our better defenders for the big games and allow players like sonny to come in when we are playing teams were we can make a few changes without much concern. i think its a good signing, i hope he does well.
