  1. good point, i dont think doncaster deserved a point and in truth a stronger bench i think we would have won it. thought we did very well in spells and maybe should have tried less to push for a second. we got punished for it and although they did well, they really did not trouble us enough.
  2. Norwich City 1-0 Bristol City Portsmouth 0-0 Preston North End Exeter City 0-1 Charlton Athletic Stevenage 1-2 Reading joker Tranmere Rovers 2-2 Newport County Walsall 1-0 Crewe Alexandra Solihull Moors 2-1 Altrincham Southend United 0-0 Yeovil Town
  3. typical football fans and notts, to find something to complain about that needs not. its not like we're being labelled nottingham. i get some might prefer notts county to just notts, but what a waste of energy to complain and make a fuss.
  4. i hope he can get back to playing in the national league itself, a lower league two team might take interest in him. yet at the current level, he should be shinning and i am pleased he is.
  5. welcome to the pride of nottingham @Jonathan Raimondi.
  6. my only focus is to support pon and members by giving my thoughts, sometimes things natural go a bit slower and if I started a discussion which did not get many responses i would simply try to encourage it. failing that, i would try to highlight it in the content you might have missed. tony and i have been doing this for a few months, few people react but it does not make it less important.
  7. jevani brown gets my vote, thought he was class and is showing growth in our team sign his natural ability.
  8. it was a tough game, but we pushed for the goal and some of the other chances on a different day might have gone in. jatta's celebration was great to see, he controlled it very well.
  9. Derby County 1-0 Hull City joker Plymouth Argyle 1-1 Preston North End Cambridge United 2-1 Burton Albion Lincoln City 3-2 Stockport County Bradford City 1-3 Doncaster Rovers Newport County 2-0 Fleetwood Town Barnet 1-0 Rochdale Ebbsfleet United 0-1 Wealdstone
  10. @menzinho the referee missed a blatant penalty, with a barrow player pushing i think dan crowley off the ball in the area. i thought the one given was harsh, but it made up for missing the other. barrow were quite dirty at times, they played some good football but looked like they could be beaten had we got to grips with the game before the 60 minute mark.
  11. it needs to be ruled against because its a disadvantage to other spanish teams that are not as big or glamorous. it also makes zero sense for it to be played anywhere but the rightful home teams ground. its things like this i dislike, save them for friendly games.
  12. we need to be at our best, they will want to fight because they had made a great start to their season themselves. i think we cant walk into the game thinking we can play around with the team to much, but I agree if we start strong and do well, we can afford to rest some players later on. i hope david mcgoldrick starts, bring jatta on when they have started to tire or switch to two up top.
  13. i felt disappointed but with the explanation at the time, i did feel it made sense for his family but if he used them as an excuse. then it makes he seem less honourable in his move back to london and that he might have thought the munto takeover might land him in favour with other clubs. did we get anything from charlton for him?
  14. Cardiff City 0-1 Portsmouth Leeds United 2-1 Watford Bristol Rovers 0-1 Shrewsbury Town Peterborough United 2-0 Blackpool joker Fleetwood Town 2-1 Crewe Alexandra Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Grimsby Town Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 Eastleigh Tamworth 0-1 Yeovil Town
  15. set pieces is an area where i do think we can get goals, but i am delighted for matty platt. he put a lot into his performance and i think we might see him score a few more before the season is over. brilliant worked goal, persisting paid off.
  16. i am enjoying a lazy sunday, i did fetch my mums shopping before the shop closed and i dropped it off. now i am back home and watching back to the future trilogy. next week i have further e-learning which i enjoy as much as being stuck in traffic or stubbing my toe on something hard. its what it is, but its getting busier which is good.
  17. i am pleased with the win because its a boost, it helps confidence and that alone can have a further impact on playing well. defensively i thought we were good, but needed a bit more creativity in attack. to grind out a win does seem very positive, despite wimbledon posing more of a threat. we showed our spiriting and fought for the win.
  18. alex bass gets my vote because his presence was so vital to the win, especially with how he played.
  19. fair play, stuart maynard is right and i think had we tried harder to force the pretty football we would have lost the game simply due to how wimbledon had set themselves up.
  20. i dont care so much about the performance because the win was the result we needed. some fans really need to be happy, instead of complaining we dont win and then its the performance. allow the confidence to increase and hopefully then, the performances will get better. winning is important at this stage, no matter how.
  21. we need to forget about who scores, try to play without nerves and just work harder at converting chances. our start is normal, but we have scored a good amount of goals so i dont we need to fuss. just dedicate some of the training leading into games with chance creation drills for our attacking players, including the likes of matt palmer.
  22. its good hes available but i think if lewis macari is fit, he should be starting. i do think stuart maybard may bring rod mcdonald on as a sub. im looking forward to seeing him get more minutes, but we need to make him work for a place in the starting 11.
  23. its good that the club and that stuart maynard are supporting cedwyn scott, i hope the time helps him and that he still plays a part in attending games because he should not be alone. he just needs to do what is best for him, the club is doing their part and as fans we can do ours.
  24. at some point we will see someone have success with 442, and more teams will revert back to it. sometimes tactics are not as much about what we think, but more about the quality in the team. some good managers can give good instructions and set their teams up well. i do think most tend to have talk of tactics but really its just staying to the same system they have been working on. tactics for me adapts and changes when needed.
  25. i dont see where rod mcdonald and lucas ness will get there time, good options to have but i cant see lewis macari being nudged. can mcdonald play out wide? i remember talk of him having a lot of pace.
