  1. He struggled to get into the squad at first, but looked promising. He featured in what was a very good run, inclduing scoring for us but he was largely plaqued with being inconsistent. Prior to his loan spell expiring, he did perform much better and a lot of fans hoped he would return. Including later on, once we had returned to League Two as a free agent but I think he signed for Stockport County. I believe he struggled for game time at Stockport, I will check with some fans I know in my office.
  2. It's good that he recognizes the project and knows what Notts are all about, players like Ollie Norburn thrive in front of passionate fans, and I really hope we can get behind him. There are concerns about his injury history, but we are preparing to focus on this, and I think there are enough midfielders for this not to be that worrying. It's more promising if he can settle early and make a big impact. No doubt League One teams would have been interested, so it does feel like a coup for us.
  3. I wouldn't call myself super picky, but I really hope the away shirt isn't any shade of pink. I'd much prefer something like yellow, blue, or maybe even green again. As for the home shirt, black and white stripes are totally our vibe. Sure, the club could get a bit creative, but I can't help but wonder if they'll go for something custom-made or just pick a simple off-the-shelf design. Honestly, I’m okay with either. I'm usually fine with the overall design. It'd be cool if the club dropped some hints about the home shirt, you know? It'd be fun to guess how it might turn out!
  4. I hope they have, along with their mobile phones. They should take time to relax and unwind before training and pre-season begin, as it's a long season ahead. They don’t need to see us debating who should be in the starting XI or watching new signings being written off before they’ve even kicked a ball.
  5. I like it! I’m not sold on the neck, but my dad has one of these in mint condition, and I’ve always liked it. The club should have no trouble selling out of those unless Match Winner is doing special orders, which would kind of keep the demand steady. It would be safe to produce a bulk amount, as I can’t see them not having high demand.
  6. It depends on what kind of content you enjoy. I’m looking forward to 28 Years Later, but there’s also Jurassic World: Rebirth on the way. If you don’t want to see a classic ruined, avoid the reboot of The Naked Gun. However, if you don’t mind someone taking on Leslie Nielsen’s role, it could be worth watching. Happy Gilmore 2 and Shrek 5 are also films I’m keeping an eye on. IMDbUpcoming releases - IMDbIMDb is the world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content. 7. I take it you live in Sheffield based on your username. What year did you move there, if you don’t mind my asking? I live in Manchester, so I travel a lot through Sheffield and other places such as Leeds.
  8. I used to hate the close season, but when I was at Leeds University, I actually enjoyed the time off because I could mix things up. Football is a way of life for me. Notts is important, but with such a long season, so many Saturdays and midweek days are spent going to games. It can affect friends, family, and work. Now that I am working full-time, I can sit back a little. I have never been obsessed with following the news to the point where I would sit on a page or get frustrated when nothing was being reported. The only exception was when the media team went silent under AH’s ownership, and we had no idea what was happening.
  9. Hello, @SRK1862. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Thanks for taking the time to join us, I hope to see you contributing to our discussions and, of course, settling in. See you around.
  10. Hello, @battman. Welcome to our community here on PON. I hope to see you join in NCFC discussions!
  11. At least a smaller club managed to get heard, but I do think rather than applying amendments and changes all the time. It should be reviewed every 2 seasons or so, so that it doesn't confuse players and match officials. It might help with consistency.
  12. I watched the Denmark U21 game, and it was very entertaining. I was unable to watch England, but I think there is a level of freedom with the way U21 teams play that I enjoyed watching in the Denmark vs Ukraine.
  13. This is very true, but we do need to highlight the room for improvements. Football attracts meltdowns and negative despair if you are in poor form or have previously done well in competitions. Expectations will always be high with England, but sometimes I do think we need to accept defeat to a team that played better. Whilst pointing out the room for improvements, I think it shows we haven't got a lot of options in goal, and defensively England does need to be more organised.
  14. Oliver Norburn could have been an interesting signing 2 to 3 years ago, but he's not a goalscorer, and his injury record is a concern. I think this is classic TLW clickbait.
  15. This hasn't been asked for a while, and with plenty of new members, it's worth asking again. If you are unable to attend, don't feel left out. Tell us where you used to sit and how you stay in the loop with Notts games live? I watch games in the upper KOP, central to the goal, and I think it's the perfect view for me. I have tried sitting in other areas, and if I watch games with @liampie, @CliftonMagpie or @Joshua I do sometimes have to rethink where to watch due to not sitting in someone else's seat. I am a Kopite through and through. What about you?
  16. Some new faces, plenty of familiar ones, and a fresh new look! I see PON has had an upgrade recently, and it looks great. Very nice!
  17. I don't set my hopes on the manager I think is best being appointed or even considered. I trust the system, and I hope the club understands after last season that we need a head coach who can get most of the fans behind him. There will always be some who won’t support the choice, but it’s important that the majority do. That early backing can make the biggest difference by the time the season reaches its end.
  18. I wonder how old I will be when sharing pictures of Nottingham makes me miss how it used to be. I can appreciate the changes, though not as much as someone who truly lived through them.
  19. FIFA need to stop changing the format and just let the tournament be played properly. Since the last expansion, it has only given struggling big nations a chance to scrape through, even by finishing 3rd. If the competition meant what it should, it would reward teams that finish higher and return to a fairer number. Yes, some smaller nations will qualify, but they are the exception. It’s like Manchester United demanding a Champions League spot after finishing 15th.
  20. I am unlikely to make it, as I am working a lot more than before. The workload is high enough that I might even have to cut back on games during the season. Germany does sound like a great away day, though. It would be nice to meet some of their clubs' fans and experience German football culture.
