  1. The game tomorrow will be a big one, in terms of realisation that the season is actually here. I am ready, I am buckled up and ready for the ride. Anyone nervous?
  2. Sorry I am late to this, welcome to PON @SteGee. I hope to see your input within the community.
  3. Sorry I am late to this, but welcome to PON @CurtisNCFC.
  4. Reading 0-0 Watford Swansea City 1-0 Millwall Blackpool 2-1 Lincoln City (Joker) Peterborough United 0-1 Swindon Town Carlise United 0-0 Barrow Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Scunthorpe United Altrincham 0-1 Weymouth Wrexham 1-3 Boreham Wood
  5. Cardiff City 0-0 Reading Derby County 1-0 Blackburn Rovers Joker Fleetwood Town 0-1 AFC Wimbledon Portsmouth 1-3 Wigan Athletic Swindon Town 2-0 Burton Albion joker Cheltenham Town 0-1 Grimsby Town Salford City 1-0 Forest Green Rovers Southend United 2-1 Morecambe
  6. The games might start off just behind closed doors, if the spike continues to grow. I would be wary about attending football games, Meadow Lane is hardly the cleanest ground and if any fans use the toilet facilities that would be enough to discourage you. If fans can't wash their hands, why would people expect them to abide by guidelines to help prevent this growing issue? I want football back, I just can't see it being an easy solution.
  7. It's annoying, but I wish him well. Notts could make more money on reselling their own academy players, if only they would play them.
  8. The club knows what they'll get from this signing, he looks to have matured a lot since last season too. Powerful at the back and calm on the ball like @liampie says, I think Ardley wanted to inject a bit of pace and youth into the back.
  9. Happy Birthday @ARLukomski, enjoy the special occasion.
  10. I thought a lot of the players looked much stronger, Sloth looks like he's a touch above most of the players at this level. He could've been caught out a few times and I feel he would've been if he was like Doyle or O'Brien. The squads looking good, Ardley needs to fuel them to go from strength to strength. Happy with the pre-season so far, the squad looks much fitter.
  11. Barnsley 2-0 Luton Town Bristol City 1-0 Coventry City Fleetwood Town 0-1 Burton Albion Northampton Town 2-1 AFC Wimbledon (Joker) Plymouth 0-0 Blackpool Bradford City 2-1 Colchester United Cambridge United 1-3 Carlisle United Mansfield Town 1-1 Tranmere Rovers
  12. The first 10 to 20 minutes will say a lot, I would like to see Notts hold the ball and create a little more, Harrogate will want to control the game as much as possible. Notts has to shock their defence and take it to them.
  13. I'm right footed, but I can do some things with my left foot. Passing short distance and getting the ball on target is fine, crossing or long passes I would probably fall over. I do have the ability to turn sharply and bring the ball back onto my preferred foot. I cannot write with my left hand and I wouldn't even bother trying.
  14. It's a thing of beauty, Kristian Dennis's header and Cal Roberts goal. Those types of goals are proof when its going to be your season.
  15. @Feral Fox I haven't seen any foxes like this before, I can see why you like them.
  16. The current skipper, Michael Doyle. He needs to be the arm around everyone on the field, organise and encourage.
  17. Now isn't the time to experiment with formations or the squad. Choose the fittest players that performed well during the friendlies and prior to the lockdown, the occasion should lift most.
  18. Did you see the fox in person then? Never seen one like that.
  19. Notts needs to start the players who will be calm on the ball, I would be tempted to leave Ben Turner on the bench because Alex Lacey and Connell Rawlinson looked ace together. They have a good mutual understanding but I can see Neal Ardley slotting Turner back into his starting XI. First half might be a nervous one, but the second should only improve. Creating clear cut chances would ease the burden and pressure of the players, I don't think either side will batter the other.
  20. I wonder if he will reconsider going back into management? The pressure for him to do well was there, he never had a chance from day one with talk of trying to build a young squad on a lower budget.
  21. Notts has every chance of winning Barnet/Yeovil. The final will be harder, but I am confident that the team is good enough. I believe they can deal with the difficulties of the occasion but I would be more encouraged if we didn't concede in the semi final.
  22. @Chris masks should have been worn at the start, it has given to those lunatics who believe this is a false pandemic.
  23. Bit of a run out isn't it? The result need not be mentioned but it's a friendly at the end of the day.
  24. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Joshbenzah.
