  1. I think he knows this too. Whilst it would be nice to retain him or buy him, I just think we are looking desperate by going on about him staying. It would be nice but we need to pull the net around other quality players. Plenty of young upcoming players around, we just need to find them.
  2. A visit to Wembley with no guarantee of promotion or a place in the top three, where's the clubs ambition? We need to be passionate about fighting for promotion, not relying on it via the playoffs.
  3. He comes across as a quite smart footballer, I hope his ability to answer questions thoughtfully and meaningfully will transpire on the pitch in his play.
  4. Nice timing really, with the Juve ties and this it shows the strong connection we have in other clubs histories. Inspiring write up @Joe Jones.
  5. I recall Alan Hardy saying he was in favour of B teams on Twitter, as he claimed it helped improved the English game.
  6. I am sure most understand the view point about extra bonuses. The thing I do not get is why the chairman would vote in favour of something which isn't going to be supported very well. The attendances throughout the majority of games was low and that was because fans opt out. If the cup is going to work, it needs further thought and consideration. There is that but when you do not take on board what your own fans say, well what is the point? Fans will opt out of providing their opinions and for good reasons, you need to feel your thoughts matter and in this case I understand why most feel this has not been the case. I am disappointed because I think we will lose more than what we would gain in bonuses.
  7. Both seem to have a good harmony and understanding, so its good to see how they are working together as one. Can we have Nolan tied down to a 10 year contract?
  8. It makes perfect sense, Kevin Nolan should try to work more closely with good academy clubs. Arsenal, Man City, United, Liverpool, Tottenham. Even more closer to home like Forest, Leicester City, Peterborough, Derby etc
  9. They are very good videos, well produced. Deserve more views!
  10. I would agree entirely and "simply allowed the game to pass him by" sums it up well. I'd love to know how many touches he had in the game.
  11. This is one thing about Hollis which deserves praise, he is always positive and focused. Under Kevin Nolan he has been a different player but he deserves more stability, its hard to be the player we need otherwise. Some fans need to lower their criticism of him.
  12. Very entertaining game well worth the season ticket price, the problem is if we do not chase promotion or play competitive football like we saw on Saturday, it really isn't. I hope this is the standard to expect next season, if so sign me up now.
  13. Adam Campbell has done well for Notts. It would be nice to see him mixed into a steady Kevin Nolan side, he hasn't had that but managed to get us goals before. He's not a winger, we are not Arsenal and we should play him as a striker simple as that. Colchester are nothing special but the game will favour those who are braver and work for it. I can see it being a draw also, so lets hope for entertainment and good officials.
  14. We need a different result than the 2-0 home defeat by them. Wycombe played quite well then, so it will be a chance to see how we have changed since. Provided the players try and give 100% I would accept whatever outcome. Play to win Nolan, go for a sensible line-up with plenty of forward options. 1-1 draw for me.
  15. Did the end suddenly swerve into a car crash? The article makes interesting points but I am not sure Notts are any different than other clubs. The flare debate I do think some over react, Mansfield the other year was a bit silly but otherwise it adds to the atmosphere.
  16. Grant has one hell of a shot, he set himself up perfectly for this!
  17. Just find a way to avoid playing Smith from the start, we need pace in midfielder against Hartlepool. Could Jordan Richards come in?
  18. We need a win, drawing or losing would not be good enough with the points Notts require to move away from the relegation zone. After going, what 8 points clear? We should have gone to Stevenage with the mindset of taking a point but the loss leaves us with needing to win over Hartlepool. I believe we can, our home form has been decent under Kevin Nolan. If we can just create the chances, I am certain someone will put them away. 2-0 Notts would be my prediction.
  19. Things have improved and the results speak for themselves, does Nolan need the award? No. Would it be nice? Of course but he will be focused on winning games regardless.
  20. We need to be more positive about this game, Plymouth are a tougher team and we played the right way. I am convinced we can do well on Saturday, so lets continue to show no fear.
  21. Can anyone really moan now? They probably will but some of our fans are just boring.
  22. Notts are playing with confidence now under Nolan, it was vital to see the players show no fear yesterday and I think we can go into any of the remaining games knowing we can get something from them if we play the right way.
  23. The players and to a degree us fans have no right to be disappointed, just look at how far we have came in such a short space of time.
  24. This will be probably one of our biggest tests as of late but things have improved quite a bit. Yesterday the Notts defence looked capable and assured, so we will see how they do against a team that know how to score.
