I'm frustrated that during the data I struggle to get data, I think its the volume of use but painfully its slow or it doesn't work. At night it's fine, really fast and no issues what so ever.

I took two tablets, so Super could get his fix but this means he can't.

I received this seasons home shirt, with 22 autographs signed on it by the current squad, for my 50th birthday, big thanks to Jack Grealish who sorted it for me, going to get it framed!!

I won't be around for a few weeks as we are off on our travels. We are going on a cruise taking in Gibralta, Venice, Malta, Corfu, Cadiz, Dubrovnik and Sicily.

Tough game against a very inform League One side, I've heard a couple of people say we will win but I think that's being somewhat overly optimistic. What are people planing to do this weekend with no match to attend or to listen to?

I'm taking the kids to a park while the wife has a hospital appt to see if she has Carpel Tunnel. My job is to keep the kids out of the way. I had offered to take them to the match at Gresty Road until they cancelled it. Probably means it will rain on Saturday as well now.

Im in Yarmouth for 2 weeks. Today while walking through Yarmouth market place I heard "YOU PIES YOU PIES". Well blow me down another Notts fan on holiday as well. So there we were talking about our club in Gt Yarmouth market.

Notts have drawn Scunthorpe away in the next round of the JPT. I think this is a winnable tie. What do others think?

Sounded like a very comfortable 2-0 win over a pretty ordinary Stags side tonight. Stags started well but as we got into our stride we bagn to dominate, and but for a couple of good saves from their keeper could have been more than 1-0 up at the break. Got the second goal at the exact right time just when they were having one of their better spells, and from there it seemed to just peter out.

I know a lot of folks wouldnt have minded had we gone out tonight but I think it was important we went into this international break on the back of a win, especially after the dissapointment of Sunday. Plus it's always nice to put one over on your local rivals.

Draw for round 2 will take place on Soccer AM on Saturday morning, and our pottential opponents are:
Rochdale, Oldham Athletic, Carlisle United, Barnsley, Morecambe, Preston North End, or Scunthorpe United. Plus Doncaster Rovers, Sheffield United, Port Vale, Bury, Tranmere Rovers and Hartlepool United will all enter in this stage having had byes in round 1

The former Notts County striker Delroy Facey has been charged with conspiracy to commit bribery.

The charges relate to the ongoing National Crime Agency investigation into match-fixing allegations in which footballers were paid to influence the outcome of games.

Facey, 34, of Huddersfield, will appear at Cannock Magistrates tomorrow.

Facey has had a long career in football and last enjoyed a spell at Hereford United.

 

He also played for Hull City, West Brom, Oldham and Lincoln.

Facey also had a spell at Notts where he played 63 games scoring 11 goals from 2008 to 2010.

The National Crime Agency's investigation into match-fixing is continuing having already secured convictions of Chann Sankaran, Krishna Ganeshan and Michael Boateng of conspiracy to commit bribery.

Non league day this Saturday. A day on which people are persuaded to go and watch their local teams.

In the best of all possible worlds, Non-League Day would work something like this:
Lardy arse fat b****rd Darren normally spends his weekend fermenting on the sofa in his his replica shirt. His only friend is a Sky Remote Control he affectionately calls Stelling. Darren really is quite lonely.

Darren pays vast amounts of money every month to a chap called Rupert who lets him watch Premiership football for many, many hours every weekend. Darren has bought himself a supply of medical catheters and a leg bag. For those of you of a non-medical bent, this means Darren doesn't miss even one moment of riveting 'build up' and half-time punditry. Yes. On matchdays Darren pees into a bag.

But Darren's Mum suggests to her son that he could perhaps get out a bit more, especially at weekends. She's read in the local paper that the local non-league club ('That Place You Only Know Cos You Look It Up on Google Maps' United) is advertising free entry for their match against another town that nobody who doesn't live there has ever actually heard of. Even on an international weekend when Darren's favourite multi-millionaire stars are having a bit of a rest, he isn't at all keen on going down to 'that effing pub league place down the road' until Mum puts her foot down and tells him how she intends spending the entire Saturday afternoon watching Come Dine With Me repeats on the 42" flat screen and he can either go to see the local side or join her watching flamboyant gay men camp their way through a Passion Fruit Roulade.

So come Saturday afternoon, Darren emerges blinking and squinting into the sunlight and that thing called 'fresh air'. He's never been to a football stadium before. He's done tours of Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford on YouTube. He's spent an entire virtual afternoon at the Bernabeu. He can recite without thinking the pros and cons of every formation from 4-4-2 to 1-8-1. Gary Neville has taught him well. He can spout off the squad lists of every Premiership club. He spent the final day of the transfer window in a state of arousal rarely seen outside of a slightly seedy lap dancing club in a seaside town. But he's never been inside a football stadium.

Now this is of course a good news story with a happy ending. Darren isn't totally put off by the heady aroma of chips and Deep Heat whifting it's way around the terraces, where unlike anything he's ever seen, before people are actually standing up. There are no former players offering in-depth half-time analysis, so Darren finds himself urinating into a toilet just like other human beings. He queues up for a hot chocolate and Mars bar. In fact, he rather enjoys this.

He'a a little frightened when several of the regulars engage him in conversation about the match, and while Di Maria and Falcao are conspicuous by their absence, the centre-half postman and the winger who empties bins aren't quite the lumbering beer-bellied Jabba the Huts he was expecting from non-league football. So Darren has had, like Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction -  a moment of clarity. No he isn't going to burn his Wayne Rooney replica shirt. It cost seventy bloody quid FSS. And he isn't going to cancel his Sky subscription while there's still a months supply of catheter bags in that little cupboard beside the sofa.

But once or twice a season when the millionaires are taking an international break and Darren is reduced to the promise of watching Bury from the comfort of his sofa, or enduring his Mum's fetish for competitive entertaining, he may just possibly get his fat lardy arse down to that local club with the postman and the bin man and breathe a little fresh air mixed with with the heady aroma of Deep Heat, burgers and the sweet, sweet smell of real football.

Maybe.

Mixed bag from what I can gather from national reports in the papers. Tried logging onto Magpie Player from my kindle to find the commentary doesn't work on a kindle or any android device!

Game up, that combined with a seriously dodgy hotel inet connection. You'd think that would be a selling point, but apparently in the Canaries they still use, well canaries to send the messages!!!

Yesterday I was invited down to watch the Academy train, it was a great experience. To be able to watch the quality in the coaching and young players was something I really enjoyed, I also took pictures of the occasion.

It's good to see young players being taught properly and although the majority will not even make the youth team, it's good for us as a club because narrowing a group of 50 (lets say) to a group of 12-15, must mean the better players are available to come through our ranks and of course some of the other youngsters will naturally find other clubs.

Quite a few are actually Notts fans, with parents who support the club.

I joked to myself about how many actually become die hard fans via the training they receive which is completely free for the youngsters. Very proud of the club!

Now here's a thing, Shaun Derry was sent to the stand in Tuesday nights game so presumably he will be banned from the touchline for at least one game.

My question is can he name himself as a substitute and get around the touchline ban? He isn't banned as a player so presumably he can and whats more as a sub he can warm up running down the pitch and give instructions to players at the same time so he doesn't have to stay in his technical area.
