Dan Crowley on Notts County’s Performance: Brilliance, Blitz, and Room for Improvement

PON_News

Notts County celebrated a thrilling 4-2 victory in a pulsating match at Meadow Lane. After the match, Dan Crowley, the midfielder who unexpectedly became the focus, expressed his viewpoints in a post-game discussion.

Crowley kicked off his reflections by heaping praise on the team’s first-half performance. He said, “We were absolutely smashing it in the first half, we were brilliant, and they simply couldn’t keep up with us.”

However, he didn’t shy away from addressing the team’s second-half struggles. He expressed his disappointment with their inability to sustain the momentum. This candid admission shows a keen awareness of the team’s performance and a willingness to improve.

He admitted, “We’ve had a bit of a problem with that this season, playing really well in the first half and then kind of losing steam in the second. That’s something we need to work on as a team.”

When questioned about the opponent’s tactical changes and their comeback in the second half, Crowley was candid. He asserted, “We can’t control them changing formation. The only thing we can do is focus on ourselves and what we can do.” He emphasised the need for unwavering concentration throughout the match, acknowledging the quality of teams in the league, including Bradford.

Crowley swiftly acknowledged the significance of the early goal in the game, attributing it to the unwavering encouragement from the home supporters.

He said, “Especially with this crowd, I think that’s such a massive boost for us. When we score the first goal, we just keep getting better and better.”

The match saw a flurry of goals just before half-time, a phase Crowley referred to as a ‘blitz’. He believed that when the team hits such a stride, it becomes an insurmountable challenge for any opposition. “When we’re playing like that, it’s very hard for anyone to stop it,” he commented.

Despite the victory, Crowley emphasised the need for improvement, particularly in maintaining their performance level throughout the match. He concluded, “A fantastic first half and brilliant three points, but something that we need to put right for the future.”

This win marks another milestone for Notts County, but as Crowley’s words suggest, there’s still room for improvement. The team will undoubtedly learn from these experiences and aim for consistency in future matches.

As the season unfolds, it will be intriguing for both supporters and sceptics to observe how the team navigates these hurdles.

Dan Crowley has proven to be an essential addition to the team this season. From the very first match, he has not only met expectations but has continually evolved in his role. His performances on home turf never fail to leave a lasting impression. Crowley is the kind of player who can ignite a spark in the game, contribute significantly to the play, or even bring it to a triumphant conclusion. He is, without a doubt, an extraordinary player.

the first half was very impressive to see us go four goals up, but i think going into the second half bradford were always going to try to lift their game. i thought dan crowley was outstanding, he played with such forward thinking that he play a big role in what we did achieve in the first half. his play at times was very entertaining to see, he works very hard for us.

Cracking game last Saturday, lads! Crowley really stood out, didn't he? We're smashing it, but we need to hold onto that momentum in the second half.

He performed brilliantly and would be my pick for Man of the Match. He’s similar to Matt Palmer in how he just gets on with the game. Dan Crowley was a handful for Bradford in the first half, and in the second half, he had moments of brilliance that opened up the play. However, everyone’s performance started to drop, which is natural when you’re leading 4-0. It’s more about concentration and game management.

It's great to see players like Crowley not just shine on the field, but also keep a critical eye on their performance. A balance of praise when it's due and an understanding of areas to improve is the mark of a true professional. Crowley has been in excellent form and his upfront reflection promises even better performance from him and the team alike. Here's to Notts County's continual improvement and triumphant journey ahead.

It was a thrilling match indeed!

Dan Crowley's introspection post-match is commendable. It's refreshing to see a player who's not merely satisfied with a win but seeks constant improvement.

We've got the brilliance and the blitz, now to focus on sustaining momentum in the second half. Crowley's proactive attitude is just the kind of leadership needed for us to ascend in the league. Cheers to our squad and cheers to future wins!

Fantastic win last Saturday! That first half was a spectacle, absolutely left Bradford reeling. Crowley was on fire and the 'blitz' he mentioned, just phenomenal to watch as we surged ahead. I wholeheartedly agree though, managing the second half better is something we should aim at.

On a positive note, Crowley's honesty about room for improvement promises an even better future. Success can sometimes engender complacency but it's clear we have a squad and specifically a star like Dan, who won’t let that happen. His understanding of the game, his hard work, and his commitment to improvement... it’s inspiring. Notts County's on an ascending trajectory and I, for one, am thrilled to see where we end up.

I was there at Meadow Lane. The atmosphere was electric! From Crowley's formidable performance to the support from the fans, it was a game to remember. While we faced some struggles in the second half, we’ve still come out victorious. I appreciate Crowley's candid analysis; it truly reflects the determination for continuous improvement. Upwards and onwards, Notts County!

What a game! Our lads put in an amazing first half, and while the second half didn't quite match up, it was heartening to hear Crowley openly acknowledge this issue. It’s clear that though we're celebrating a brilliant win, there's a strong commitment to refining our game even further. Full credit to Dan Crowley for his performance and for highlighting areas for improvement. His humility coupled with his talent is why I believe he's becoming indispensable to Notts County. Can't wait for the future matches!

The match was stellar! Dan's first-half play is why some of us regard him as the stalwart of Notts County. His emphasis on introspection and improvement, not just celebration, speaks volumes to me. His attitude makes me optimistic about future games. Yes, there is room for improvement, particularly in the second half, and it's heartening to hear him acknowledge that. Keep going Notts!

Dan Crowley is a really exciting player to watch, he seems to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve and the way he turns around and then goes back to where he was previously facing is such a clever way to confuse the opposition player. Seeing players enjoying their football, it makes everything that much better. Finally, Notts County have a squad that fights for the fans, owners who care about the future, rather than the short term and staff who understand how unity makes a big impact.

Signing Dan Crowley was an absolute master stroke, hats off to the recruitment team and of course to Luke Williams for turning him into a player that fits the way we play. He’s a fantastic addition to the squad.
