I'll be watching. I hope they play better than in the friendly against Australia but it will be a different starting 11.

It would be nice if we can get the win the team should've got in the final, yes it's just a friendly but a good performance will show nothing but positives. Italy are still in a transition, where they are nowhere near the level they should be at. Very average team right now, despite some outstanding players.

I’ve just seen the highlights of that game, not many from Englands point of view though.

Is it a friendly? I thought it was a qualifier, the Australia game was a friendly.

Great performance from England 2 great goals from Rashford and Kane plus a superbly taken penalty from Kane.

Jude Bellingham had a fantastic game.

We win the group and qualify for Euros.

I only realised it was on our TV when we were already 2-1 up. I saw the last half hour or so. We cruise to qualification with no worries at all - how times have changed!

I was surprised how poor Italy were, we never had to get out of second gear.

good game and performance by england, but italy were very poor. they look a shell of what we know they can be and i dont see why they are such a dreadful team. i would not want to watch them if i was italian.

For England, the match was rather routine, and I must acknowledge that their performance was commendable. However, I do agree that Italy appeared to be a disappointing representation of a footballing nation that once held great stature in the sport.

They did give us a bit of a scare by scoring first against the run of play but that seemed to fire England into playing more positively and directly, especially in the second half.

Italy has some outstanding players, but they’re not spread across the field and are now quite average as a nation. They’ve relied on their older and ageing players for too long, and now they’re paying the price. England looked impressive, but we usually do when it comes to qualifying.

Italy seems to be struggling to find their feet at the moment, but they have a knack for pulling through when the stakes are high. They tend to step up their game during major tournaments. England did well against an underperforming Italy, with well-executed goals and some players really seizing their opportunity to shine, proving Gareth Southgate right for selecting them.
