Where are they now - Michael Doyle

Featured Replies

i dont really care about him because the moment ian burhcnall failed at fgr, michael doyle was back at notts. hes pretty much shown no loyality to pompey by taking the woking job. i would understand more if it was a bigger or a former club but woking? if he can make it until the end of the season without being sacked it will be a good thing for him. he should do well as a manager provided he sticks and learns with a club, instead of always on the move.

Best of luck to Michael Doyle. I understand the remarks about him being a football mercenary, but he should excel as a manager as long as he doesn’t abandon his post at the first sign of success.

I don't fault him for choosing to take a managerial job, over coaching. So, for that, I do wish him well.

As for his decisions, if he wants to become a good manager he will need to choose carefully if ever tempted to leave. I think he bases a lot of his decisions based on his heart, instead of his head but I hope he does alright at Woking.

A field where dreams become reality.

I’m not particularly concerned about Michael Doyle. I don’t think Woking is a place where he’ll learn and stay for a long time. I give him a maximum of 12-14 months.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

He might become a competent manager one day, but he’s always rushing and hasn’t dedicated enough time to learning. He’ll either be a natural or he’ll fail. I wish him the best, though succeeding at Woking is tough.
