Sad to see him go, but glad for what we have achieved under his great leadership. The club will go on & it will put the right person in to succeed him.

Onwards and upwards.

It’s official, I’ve now forgotten about him!

Looking forward to the next appointment and Notts’ future.

It really hurts but we’ve had an amazing journey with Luke I wish him nothing but good luck and thanks for everything he has done.

I wish him all the best!

Some fans will be a bit annoyed, but it's not like Ian Burchnall and although Luke Williams is by far the better manager. I think it makes a lot of sense as to why he decided to go to Swansea, I didn't believe it until it was confirmed, but I respect and understand why.

There's some anger about him leaving us mid-season, but we are in a good position to find a new manager who can get the results we need to push on.

A bit of time to access who to bring in, get onto the recruitment of players and allow the new manager to have the final say once the squad is accessed by him. Luke's left us in a great position, so it's hard to feel annoyed. He, unlike who he replaced, hasn't bad-mouthed us (at least yet) and I don't think he would allow a small minority to do so.

@Chris agree, I can understand why he went when he did, a Championship club, better Salary, closer too home, chance to get Swansea to the playoffs, but could be a stretch.

On the other side, he had lost 7 matches out of the latest 11 Notts played, so he weighing it up, it could have got worse and he'd have been less marketable.

In the end, his going could work to our advantage & give us some impetus with a new coach, new players, & fresh tactics.

I’m not angry but I am really disappointed that he’s leaving, I do understand his reasons it’s a no brainer really a with it being a championship club and near his family, he’s ambitious and you can’t blame him for that.

I haven't read any anger here, but I have elsewhere on social media.

There's worse times for a manager to decide to jump ship and there are ways where it's far worse, I can't let the disappointment lead beyond that. I'm just hopeful the next manager speaks sense and isn't dull.

i am disappointed not in notts or luke williams, just in the fact we have lost a very good person early on into his managerial career at notts.

the reasons for leaving i understand and i wish luke williams all the best.

i hope whoever comes in next gives us fans the respect we deserve and we dont go back to someone who does not see the importance we play or the community. i am very hopeful we can just continue to move forward together.

Yes @liampie it is dissapointing Notts couldn't persuade him to stay. Luke was visiblely upset when he talked about Jason Turner in his final interview for Notts. Jason's sudden passing affected us all so much & still does. His continued presence may have changed things, We will never know.

Genuinely thought he’d take us to League 1, maybe not straight away but we’d have got there at some point with him at the helm. Shame his last game was a loss, not the last memory you want or he deserves.

The fact we’re getting a large compensation sum softens the blow. When he said he still lives in Wales it did worry me a touch that if he did get approached he could well leave us. A big pay rise too so I get why it would’ve been hard to turn down.

Not going to lie but I think finding a coach as good/better than LW is a big challenge but Chris and Alex seem to know what they are doing given that our last two head coaches have effectively been “sold on”. As long as they are still here the future looks good for this club.

I agree @menzinho. In the Reedtz brothers I trust. I'm sure they'll get the right Head Coach that fits Notts phylosophy of attacking football
