Were Grealish & Mcgregor Playing Today?

Featured Replies

I heard them mentioned a few times in the first half but the second half sounded like it was all Preston, it sounded at one stage as if Grealish was getting two yellows but either the ref got it wrong or Colin and Dean did (more likely).

Great display from Pilks he must be gutted to be on the losing side.

He came on for Fotheringham in the second half, Colin said he was fairly impressed with him from what he had seen.

Sadly, unless he's scoring then I'm not sure what McGregor actually contributes most games. Grealish is like Judge, occasionally lethal but concedes possession and opportunities far too frequently. Relying on those 2 is a mistake IMO. The experienced players need to deliver and, with 1 or 2 exceptions, they have failed - miserably,

I honestly don't know who played, I've just got back after spending the day with my children. Saturday's are usually match days :D

It would have been weird if we didn't have them starting, I agree with Pies4u that they do get caught out but they need supporting more. JCR when on the break only really gets supported by Freeman, I think they've got the understanding we should have seen Dumbuya have with him. McGregor is the play who links play, where as Grealish is all about beating players.

Supposed to have been told that Mullins only came on from the bench, seems a little pointless to get him.

Well he did only join us yesterday Joe.Β  I don't think it was a pointless signing, he played half the game and I'll bet any money he starts the next one.

Tend to agree with Pies4U here on Macgregor. I like the player, I honestly do, but he is a luxury player who if he's scoring then great, but if not then doesn't really offer anything else. He doesn't occupy a centre back as he runs from deep. He does open space up, but only when on fire. The rest of the time not convinced he's the best option for every match without question.
