Weekend Chat - Friday 12th - Sunday 14th July

It’s Friday again, how are we all?

I’m feeling pretty good after a night catching up with an old friend over a pint last night, sadly he’s a Forest fan but apart from that he’s an ok guy.

Tomorrow it’s park run day, it’ll be number 101 for me so I’ll be able to wear my new running shirt.

Sunday well we know what’s happening then don’t we? I’ll probably be watching at home with a pint I’m not into large crowds or busy pubs, Mrs. T enjoys watching too so we’ll both enjoy the match.

How’s your weekend shaping up? Or anything else you want to chat about or get off your chest.

Up early this morning to do the shopping. Very busy, people stocking up on the booze for Sunday.

Grass cutting required for tomorrow. The garden is soaked due to the incessant rain we've had.

Focus this weekend will be on the England match and whether they can make history or not. Hard to believe that I was just 10 years old when England last won anything.

I still need a weekend off, so I won't be doing much. I might try to coax everyone to watch a film together, we haven't done that for a while and I wouldn't mind making popcorn for it.

Otherwise, I plan to do nothing.

I'll be sure to give @super_ram a few video calls, as Ava has mentioned wanting to tell him something. ????

I totally forgot about the Euro final, so Sunday I should see @super_ram anyway - if he will have us over again. :D

Also, @super_pie wants to go meet up with my brother tomorrow to play Pokemon Go. So, my lazy and carefree weekend is out of the window. Yet there's no better way to watch England, than with my dad and son.

It reminded me of rushing home from school to watch Euro 96, 3pm kick offs really made it a rush.

It's finally our year! It's coming home!! ????????????????????????????

I've been battling against my hay fever today, the pollen count has dropped a bit but for some reason today really got to me. My throat has swollen a tad, my nose is running and my eyes are all puffy. I think taking the dog for a long walk (by accident cos I got a bit lost) just exasperated it!

I'm hoping a night and morning tomorrow locked indoors will calm it down ???? I'm not planning on venturing too far this weekend, I'm meeting a few friends Saturday evening and then I'll watch the Euro Final on Sunday at my dad's. He's making a Spanish Casserole pre-match, I think it's chorizo, butter beans and peppers something one of the TV chefs made - I'll help him out as he's notorious for doing things his way and not following the recipe!

@menzinho I hope your hayfever settles down and the Spanish Casserole sounds delicious. There’s nothing wrong with tweaking a recipe to your own tastes, we do it all the time, one recipe we do has been tweaked that many times it’s unrecognisable from the original.

Right, time to get ready for Park Run 101, wish me luck. ????‍♂️

With the boys out, i got some drawing done for a birthday card and a design i was asked to do months ago. Sunday i may get my daughters grave fencing cut to size ready to paint if the weather holds out. The usual platt my middle childs hair too.

With the boys at @super_rams, i dont need to have football on so can maybe listen to some music is my head lets me. ????

Nice to have a bit of “you” time without the boys, eh @cheeky~k8????

I managed to get round the park run course in 37 minutes which is a bit better than last time by about a minute, in fact it’s the quickest I’ve run since January but nowhere near the 30 minutes which is my personal best time for that course.

This afternoon I went for a walk with Mrs. T then settled down to do a bit more of my jigsaw, which has been neglected of late.

Did you have a good park run? @Fan of Big Tone

Yes I did thanks, I put a bit about it but it merged with my last post.

It’s been a peaceful weekend, with another busy Monday to Friday on the horizon. The weather has been rather pleasant, and I was pleasantly surprised to avoid the rain on Saturday. I managed to get some gardening done and tidied up a bit outside. On Sunday, I spent a relaxing day in the back garden, listening to some music through my headphones. I rounded off the day with a few beers while watching the Euro finals. It was a nice, quiet weekend overall.

????????  ????????????????????????????

Reaching two finals and a semi-final is certainly an achievement. It’s far better than being eliminated in the group stages, quarter-finals, or not qualifying at all. This progress provides a solid foundation for England’s future endeavours. All in all, it’s been a rather good weekend.
