It was a narrow defeat for Notts tonight, but despite the defeat, there were some good performances.

My player shortlist for Man of the match is as follows:-

McGoldrick, Hinchy, Ness, Bedeau, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Jatta, Cisse.

Considering Abbott missed out Hinchy stepped in and did very well, got a goal too. I thought McGoldrick was our best attacking threat and was generally very tidy on the ball. But Matty Palmer probably just shades it for me, didn't really do anything wrong, he just needed a bit more from the players in front of him.

I thought three players stood out from my shortlist.

David McGoldrick put in another excellent performance. Lucas Ness came in for Platt & also had a good game.

Jack Hinchy came in for currently our best player in my opinion, George Abbott, and Jack did a great job for Stuart. He even scored a well taken goal too.

In my opinion, Jack had his best game for Notts, and he's my Notts player of the match.

I’ve gone for David McGoldrick, he was all over the park and did his best to create an opening, he’s a real class act.

The penalty was perfect too.

Having now watched the full match highlights, I think David McGoldrick is the player that deserves my vote the most. There are a few who come close, such as Matty Palmer and Jack Hinchy. I just feel McGoldrick's drive and contributions warrant the vote.

i have also voted for david mcgoldrick, for me its between him and matty palmer. jack hinchy did well, but i just dont feel it was anywhere to the standard that mcgoldrick or palmer set.

I watched the game at home, thanks to Sky. I thought we did well in how we held onto the ball, and a big part of that was due to Matt Palmer. He got us moving, which I personally think only David McGoldrick came close to. So, I have voted for Palmer because I think he did the most throughout the game in a consistent manner.

Matt Palmer gets my vote for his integral part in how we played going forward and tried to remain organised at the back. I would give a shoutout to Alex Bass. I don't think he played all that badly and was unlucky at times.

I agree, it would be between two of the names mentioned in the voting, and I have gone for the one who delivered much of the fight to keep Notts within a slight glimmer of salvaging a draw, which is David McGoldrick.

Matt Palmer all the way. I think he's getting his stride back in the team. Not that he hasn't been good, but now he's more like he was before his injury. He seems to have a drive that helps us play more calmly.
