Tough December Fixture List.

Notts have a tough fixture list in December . Five games that could define a season one way or the other. Two of the five are against MK Dons.

9th Dec: MK Dons (H)

13th Dec: Grimsby (A)

20th Dec: Walsall (H)

26th Dec: Chesterfield (A)

29th Dec: MK Dons (A)

We meet four of our major rivals for honours all in one month. It's going to be great battle in every match. Can Notts come through it unscathed with plenty of points?

I think I would be happy if we could avoid defeat in four of those games. I don't think it is beyond the realms of possibly to achieve that, but Grimsby, Chesterfield & MK Dons away will be very tough.

I think that last season, I don't think it would have been possible to be that optimistic. Our record against the top 10 sides wasn't good at all, but this season Notts are made of sterner stuff.

Fifteen points are on the table. I think 7 or 8 points from a possible 15 would be ok, anything more would be a bonus. It's certainly going to be an exciting December. Looking forward to it.

I'm a bit more confident than that. They are good teams but beatable. I think Notts can beat anyone in this division in pure footballing terms if that makes sense. It's the likes of Salford and Bromley that I still worry about.

Notts will be well backed. I'd like to think we'll get 10k home fans for the MK Dons and Walsall games. We'll sell out the away end at Grimsby and Chesterfield. If we're going well, we could have a really big following at MK Dons.

The back to back away matches to end the year almost doesn't seem fair, but that's how it goes... It does look tough on paper right now but fingers crossed one or more of these teams is in a bad run of form by the time we face them. MK would be ideal seeing as we play them twice in the space of a few weeks. I can't remember the last time we played a team with such a short break between them, especially in the EFL. I know in the National League we had the same team for the Boxing Day/NYD fixture, but I wasn't a massive fan of that.

One game at a time - get as many points as you can.

All the speculating, guessing, predicting - hoping - is interesting but, usually, inaccurate. I’d like to think we can get through Dec losing no more than one and winning at least 2. Anything else would be a bonus.

We’ll see what happens…..

Speculation is fine on all fronts but personally I think the old adage one game at a time will see us in a more positive position than people think. The progress from week to week we have made and having strength in depth fills me with confidence to the extent that I can't wait for this incredible journey to begin. COYP.
