Yes Liam, same here. Must be Virgin doing something to their network. Mind's been pretty bad the last week, today its been off 90% of the day. If its not back up, I will be speaking to them. No doubt its all our machines/devices and turning off the router will resolve it.

At least they like to lead me to believe.

The hub is horrible, self resolving my..... they still tell you to switch it off lol. Then it takes a decade to boot up after.

It's back again, I don't mind the occasional problem downtime but for me recently it's been a joke.

They should own up and admit faults, at least then I know where I stand and would have a good idea how long I can expect to work off my mobile data. However, they just say to do none sense and that it should resolve in a few hours. The technicians are usually very good, yet the customer support departments are awful. If it was an error on my end, I'd be able to fix it. :P

*I shouldn't moan* hehe

we find that virgin plays up a lot, and there is no use in calling them as it is never at their end - and no faults in the area. I have also noticed that the bandwidth has been really slow lately too

You lot should think yourself lucky you aren't on BT, I wish I could get Virgin but although the cable runs within less than 100 metres from our property they can't bring it to our house.

Agreed. Even though Virgin are a pain in the rear, I have to remind myself how slow and unreliable our connection was when we were on bt using sky.

The speed from Virgin is so good, like I say, often taken for granted.

@tonyhateley, I hate to say it but didn't I.... Didn't I? I told you so.... :P

BT's had far more investment in recent years than any of the major network/internet companies. They could easily overtake Sky given the chance, Rupert doesn't want to spend money unless it makes them look "bigger". VM's regularly spent money on staying ahead of the game and are far the better company, it's just their staff are not well trained and in comparison monkey's could do the support better.

In fact I could train them to answer phone calls far more politely!

Slightly around 30 minutes.

I'll be calling VM on Monday because it's grinding me, it's happening right when I need to be doing things and since it's ongoing I shall see if I can prompt them to resolve the matter. This is where they will tell me "it's a slight network issue" :P
