Notts County Vs Scunthorpe

first thing is i wonder what the attendance will be? i think it will be pretty low and the game most likely scrappy. could win the game but i'm not sure we will tbh

hope the players think about how they impact matches.

you pies!

I believe the attendance will be higher than last Tuesday. There have been a few home games of late and some will find that expensive, therefore having to pick and choose their games.

Yet again this will be a battle. Scunny are fighting for their lives. It won't be easy. But I expect us to come out on top. The team have a lot to answer after recent events. Including getting fans back on side. Close game, 2-1 to the super pies.

See you all there

I don't know, I expect it to be fairly low. I would be surprised if the attendance was much more than 5k and most likely around 4 if I were to guess. 2piesonmyshirt (Dave's) response as just come through now, he makes a valid point that people are choosing which games to go, it's certainly not easy balancing budgets these days.

Would be nice to see the players clap the fans regardless after the game, show support both ways.

Personally I fear this will be a repeat of what happened at Hartlepool, I wouldn't expect to win but on paper we probably should fairly easily. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we do achieve victory, though as things are at the minute I just don't see how we will unless they're poor or we're good.

I go to the majority of home games, Saturday will not be one. I've decided to spend the weekend catching up with some family who are now visiting from Germany. It's very expensive driving to games, fuel and ticket prices, food or drinks and I always visit one of the pubs in the area catching up with friends who still live in the area/Notts.Β The game needs to be seen as a challenege, one which Notts need to give much more. The amount on shots on target is poor, we've got a good midfield and the players note how blessed we are and so I cannot believe why they cant provide the forward line with more chances.

Not sure how it will go, I see them beating us on recent performances. I'm sorry!

I think the players may have low morale after the last few games but hopefully they can overcome it and we can finally get the win we need. I don't think we will make play-offs but we can at least get higher up the table.

thank god we got rid of hawley, shocking performance but he did us a favour. only a few decent chances ourselves and had a draw written all over it.

good win, time we had some luck.

better play but need to do more really. well done dean leacock!

Well this was a huge improvement on Tuesday's performance. Apparently the players have had meetings after Tuesday's match and before today's game where a few home truths were said. They were certainly up for it from the beginning and actually looked as if they wanted to win.

However the game could have been much different if Hawley hadn't have missed a hat trick of sitters in front of goal. I have never heard the Notts crowd shout his name so loudly. Shouts of Hawley Hawley Hawley ringing round the ground everytime he missed a goal. Oh dear. He was sporting enough to clap the main stand at the end of the game as he came off though.

Leacock was excellent and he scored his first goal for us (I think). Bishop had a good game and he really looked fired up. Judge showed why we had missed him for the last two matches. Bart was his dependable self. The young lad Tempest looked very good when he came on. Boucaud had a good game too. The only player I would pick out as having a fairly poor game was Arquin who again didn't seem to be bothered.

Now to my special mention ............drum roll.................Enoch Showumni was an absolute revelation, yes you heard me right Enoch!! Why oh why doesn't he play like that every game. He chased and harried the defenders and generally made a right nuisance of himself, won lots of headers and deserved his standing ovation when he came off. Well done Enoch.

Football players can be like children, some need a kick up their behind and others need a motivational speech. It's mentoring and he probably had some comments thrown towards him that he didn't like, however on Tuesday he was moving okay, he did win headers and when people around you play better I'm sure it helps. I think it's unfair the expect Enoch (no digs at anyone here) to play like he did for Tranmere, especially considering he would be considered one of their main players. The thing which games Enoch away on Tuesday was the fact his control was poor, he didn't look like a footballer when the ball came down and he wasted chances which us fans felt was begging to be attacked.

I'm very delighted to hear the win, I just wished I had been there! :)

I listened on the radio again, as the Rams kicked off later, and I think Tony just about summed up my thoughts.I can only say well done Notts. The Rams also won doing that other Nottingham team a favour.

We was lucky 2 win today scunthorpe out played us for large peroids of the game. i thought every played well specially shehan bishop judgey and enoch and bart didnt think much of hollis at times and i thought boucaud was aweful today.

Win is a win at the end of the day :D 3 points to us and something to lift the spirit a little, a win on Saturday and things could look a lot more rosey!

Thank you for sharing this!

Glad also to hear Enoch had a good game.

Played better than Tuesday but still lacking decent strikers. At least the players made an effort Saturday. Enoch had his best game for us. Disappointed to see no new striker coming in. Interesting comments made by the chairman in the mag. Glad he's not going to stand for it!
