Will be announced as head coach tomorrow according to radio Nottingham. He's resolved his family problems now apparently.

I'd be surprised if this guy lasts until the end of the season. His over inflated opinion of himself has burned so many bridges that he is now reduced to managing in the lower leagues in England. His absurdity will be right at home at Notts.

It was a joke appointment before & it is borderline farce now. Just can't see the point - at all.

Trying to use a Euro model, "total football" approach with the dross that we've got and in the lower leagues in general is beyond any credibility. Supporting a Head Coach with "a team of assistants" is mind boggling, simply mind boggling.

Good luck to him, if it happens I don't read into owt until its official really. This is a weird saga! You could tell the story by writing it on one hand.

@Pies4u, we've already essentially moved to the continental system anyway - as managers generally don't discuss the financials with players any more, they are pretty much head coaches anyway, with chairmen/CEOs filling the sporting director role. And I'm not sure where the "total football" thing has come from, maybe just because he is Dutch? If he's prepared to coach at our level, surely he's pragmatic enough to realise that he won't be able to replicate the great Ajax teams of the past with this team.

Appointing a manager with so little experience of English football below the top flight is odd, but I'll give the new man a chance. We're dead in the water now anyway and have nothing to lose, maybe he'll bring fresh ideas and new impetus. And at least he'll get the opportunity to run the rule over the squad for next season.

Odd? It is stark, staring bonkers tbh.

If he's still here this time next year, I'll review my position. Until then, just don't see it. Why on Earth would he want to come here for a start? No work elsewhere............

Well, it's official - he is here now, for 3 years. Best get on with it.

Hart has walked out by all accounts, not sure how true that it btw. The circus continues. Tommy Johnson back to collect the bibs will put the tin lid on it!

Welcome aboard Ricardo, best of luck. Not my choice but I'm with you all the way. Come on you Piiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeees.

Glad Monix has joined. I said (first time around!) it was a brill move which will either result in a massive improvement in the style of football we've been stuck with for years or it will go belly up very quickly.

Hope it goes well. Paul Hart walking? What? Did he seriously think after two games he had done enough to stay there perm? Come on Paul. Yesterday was 2 points dropped when points are vital!!!

Go back to being a quality youth academy guy. That's what you're good at so stick to it. Don't spit the dummy out for no reason!

Radio Red I/view between Uncle Col and RT. Slater asked if it was right that Hart had walked out and RT seemed to agree, certainly didn't deny it by all accounts. I didn't hear it, just been told by those who did. Nothing official as yet, but then there wouldn't be would there?

Yes it seems he's walked out in a huff apparently, don't know why because he knew he was caretaker.

Very interesting, in interviews it sounded like he knew he'd be in for a few games then assume his original role, obviously not now.

Let's forget Paul Hart walking for the moment.

Let's also be honest in the assessment about the academy at Notts for once as well while it's on subject.

So far for real potential coming through the ranks we've had...

Curtis Thompson. Resounding success so far in the middle. Long may it continue.

Haydn Hollis. Will be found out even more under the new boss imo.

Fabian Spiess. Scouted by Man Utd a few years ago. Raved about. Where is he now? 3rd choice behind a 40yr old goalkeeping coach with a dodgy beard.

We haven't got the best track record with kids anyway in recent times and I think it'll take more than Paul Hart going back to his old job to sort out that department.

With so many coaches now surely the reserve team idea needs to be revisited to offer a stepping stone and regular games?

In most areas we need to start from scratch... or at least that is how it seems from this far

He's in charge now no matter what we all think. He hasn't got many matches to make much of a difference but let's at least get behind him and give him a chance.

It's all very interesting. If nothing else, it sounds like we're at least try to win the odd match rather than aiming for a 0-0 every week. It so tight that even one win would see us well out of the relegation zone. If we're going to go down, we might as well do so giving it a good go.
