Good evening all,

Our squad is, as predicted, now vey thin, but we have today signed Dissa Traore on a one year deal and a little earlier Jordan Williams on a season long loan from Liverpool.

I believe both were with you last season and wonder how you found them?

IMO Drizza was actually quite a good player. He just looked so lightweight last season amongst all the deadwood. Given a platform of passing football I think he would be a real asset to any team. He needs to the centre of the park, spraying passes around, not being swapped for every position under the sun, playing well, then being dropped immediately!

Williams - nah.

Drissa always had potential for me but didn't get enough playing time to show what he could do, may well be a decent signing if he does get to play. Didn't get to see Williams play myself but saw good reports on him people seemed to think he was pretty good.

Jordan Williams put in steady performances, he stood out but nothing overly amazing about him. Just a steady player, which any club at League One level should be able to get more out of.

Dissa Traore never had a chance but created the best goal for us last season. When he did play, it sparked questions as to why Derry didn't play him more regularly.

I think they will be steady signings for you.

Great signings for Swindon IMO, Williams is a decent tackler and always looks composed, making him a good asset to a league 1 defence or midfield. Drissa has lots of pace and skill, and has ok passing range too (his assist v scunthorpe was unreal) and I still wonder why he made so few appearances let alone be released. If you give him time he could really liven up the midfield on a regular basis.

After seeing the pass which Drissa pulled off, I find it hard to believe Derry never gave a fair chance.

@PDIT1862 it seems that no press conferences will be held other than post match which are obligatory and all announcements will be made through Fanzai (???) or the club web site which I believe is by subscription.

The Chairman banned local paper in January.

I will probably know more about your club than mine.

@medievalmickey you have done what our neighbours did and ban local media?

its really sad for fans when clubs do this! any way, both players looked capable of being assets and williams did very well when pushed into the centre back role.
