Today is grim, yet again I shall attend my place of work.

And it rains....

What are you doing today?

Time to get up and take the wee hound for a spin round the block. Shortly followed by a day of fire testing at work. Note to self....remember the earplugs.

A great response to yesterday's daily thread, thanks to all who took part, we managed 26 posts in the daily thread  let's see if we can beat that today.

It's a cloudy day here and a bit chilly. The grandsons will be here for breakfast soon then I am taking George for another swimming lesson. Mrs H is the taking them both to play with their friends down the road while she has a natter and a coffee, I will take the opportunity in the peace and quiet to get some web site work done.

Later they will go home around 3 and we'll go and do some shopping to fill the depleted food supplies.

Have a great day and come and tell us what you are up to today.

Spending today and the next few recovering from Knee surgery trying to use this site more as the MAD folk seem to be intent on ruining the MAD board.

Early morning again, first in the office.  Only positive is I'm wearing a nice new suit I bought at the weekend. I might be playing football tonight, but failing that I will go to the gym to pump some iron.

Are you planning to disappear again once it's sorted @Magicianpie? BA-DUM TISH!

Today my Weetabix had an unusually soggy consistency and the rain has arrived in Germany. Once it's passed (and it will) I will mainly be sitting in a beer garden supping a nice cold beer, thinking of you all suffering with the British weather.

Busy day. Back to the docs again for my ear is still painful. Putting the roof box on the motor ready to leave for hols. Packing. Taking Ben to see his coordinating consultant today ( he sees that many across the space of one year he also has one who collates all the info and keeps overall control!) Which is nice as she is now like a family friend as she was there at Ben's birth and has followed him through so far.

Back to packing and sorting out electrical bits for the hols ( copying films onto a laptop which goes with us and the kids can then use it on rainy days) etc...etc... Busy busy busy!

All this and all we need now is Ofsted to ring and say today is the day wish they would just get on with it!

I saw the farmers cutting the wheat this morning, I can't remember ever seeing the wheat being cut in July. It's been a weird Summer for sure. I reckon it has something to do with El Nino. That will mean a cold but dry winter, I'll take that.....

I was planning to collect my season ticket card later, yet I think I will wait.

I've been sending a few e-mails so far, whilst getting to grips with my daily tasks which I have outlined. Nothing amazing interesting at my end, yesterday was much better but you can't always have days like that. At least I slept sound last night!

I was listening to the Proclaimers earlier. Sunshine on Leith was adopted by Hibs in Scotland as their anthem. My word, the hairs stand on the back of your neck when you hear it being sung by thousands of Hibs fans, it's a wonderful song anyway, but in that setting, just wow.....

Wrestling with my internet connection, apparently BT are having problems all over the country, I phoned them and they said even their systems are down so they can't look at my account to help at all. Looking at the forums I am not the only one having problems, bloody typical as I've got work to do and its driving me mad.

Still having problems with BT broadband it just won't load web pages sometimes I have to keep refreshing it's very frustrating but it is a national problem I"ve just found this on the website.

Websites not loading?

This is a known problem and we're working hard to fix it.

Sorry if you've been affected, but we hope to have you back up and running soon.

People are going barmy on the BT help forum, threatening to leave BT etc., there's a massive long thread about 30 pages long.

I took Ellie for her dentist appointment, played with the kids, did the usual housework and decided to dye @GrannyPie's skirts for her as i've been meaning on doing that for at least a month now.
