Colin Slater was saying before today's match that Notts have now withdrawn their interest in the Crawley striker after having an improved offer rejected and there is no new name in the frame.

So does this mean we are going to settle with what we've got now?

There's four weeks until the transfer window closes, time will tell.

What do you think?

Not sure when it was recorded but listening to the Ricardo Moniz interview before the match it sounds as though he still wants to bring another Striker in.

I'm pleased to be honest, had they have accepted fair enough but 100k for me at least was a good enough offer.

Now please, lets put the money to sign someone like Tom Bradshaw.

After today, I can see us requiring another striker who knows how to score but I am convinced we have good options already at the club, I would just like to see one more.

@RayTrew what is your plans now with regards to strikers? Will the club still be making approaches for players?

Is anyone concerned that the open 100k bid, plus the improved offer, may allow other clubs to play the money game??

I think agents are aware whenever chairmen start splashing the cash @AmericanPie and try to squeeze out all the money they can, bid or no bid. It's all part of the fun of running a football club

Adam Campbell is easily good enough to start, he has the pace that Stead lacks, and with a 3 goals in 8 games last season he knows how to find the net, and he is only 20 so has time on his side. Do we really need another striker?

Wait until January and assess then, the money could be spent better when we arrive back to our destination which is league one.

i think we should go find someone else who can play with spencer and stead, it sounds like murray is still struggling. i expect some of the players from last season to leave, as moniz may want his owns squad.
