Takeover Latest

Featured Replies

It may not be related to the asking price, or it could be combined with potential debts. It's hard to read between the lines but the clues with the 'hedge fund' who have removed themselves from the bidding.

Potentially they may not have the money.

Speculation could be said about them having it but not wanting to spend so much to see success return in such a risky investment. Who knows? I just hope the takeover happens and everyone can move forward. It would be nice if the club was able to move in that direction for once.

@notts-joeΒ Good post. From a purely selfish viewpoint..what "substantial freeΒ cash to invest in the team" is what we want to hear. Unfortunately, the buying price is determined by the level of debts / financial commitments made,Β a new owner is prepared to take on.Β

okay enough of the jokes now time to be serious let's all be honest there is no takeover.

There was never a Danish billionaire or Americans or anyone it's quite obvious to see aswell.

In Β my view next year we will still be run

by the trews simple as that gaurentee

there is no takeover at allΒ

@Modern Fan 1862 ????Β Your frustrations are getting the better of you... You are confusing "interest" with evaluating and making a bid.

How come "it is quite obvious to see"? No, it's not..... they kicked the tyres and moved on.

Alan Hardy is the only known person to have submitted a bid which was rejected. It maybe the case, Ray will have to go back and re examine that bid... but with confidentiality agreements, we may never know the intricacies of the sale

Unless a serious bidder comes forward, which I question anyone who wants to remain in the shadows (as will any genuine fan after Munto) - I believe the sale of the club may rely on Hardy, provided he doesn't buy another club before. Eventually ground will be given and either Trew or Hardy will make that move required. If someone else comes in the meanwhile, I am sure the Post or somewhere will mention it.

I like many fans feel it's proving difficult to sell at this stage, which is only natural for a struggling lower tier football team.

However, we are an attractive proposition for a serious investor.

@notts-joeΒ maybe the final line of yours could read as ...are we an attractive proposition......? :D

I am concerned that the previously mentioned parties seemed to have walked away? Price too high?

Hold on is the price to high or is there more debt then were being led on to belive ?

Also I don't buy this NDA rubbish if you're a serious bidder or intrested put up or shut up.

Also sukhi ghuman the local buisness man in Notts to I belive who tried to buy us before on his Twitter stated things.

Such as the club needs serious major investment and he pulled out why did he pull out things we don't know about.

Price to high or other factors behind the scenes to me it's simple trews only option is hardy.

Americans gone Danish billionaire never was true belive what you please hedgefund Β clearly gone Asians gone quiet to.

Unless there is anyone else I'm happy to bet a pint on it next year the trews will still own us and run the club.

So it's a offer for you Infact didn't Alan hardy say he was looking at other opportunities after trew rejected his offer there was talk of Nuneaton town who are up for sale.

And the icing on the cake just to end our misery cooper to forest green rovers unless we act quickly not concrete just what I think will happen as we never seem to plan aheadΒ

Maybe the price is one pound plus the level of debt Β you would be willing to take on?Β

It must be a concern for any potential buyer, Notts have a great history and potential but as with everything, the years haven't been kind - as I say its not easy to sell a club.

Are we not believing negotiations are ongoing guys ? We need a little encouragement I feel that they are , we were assured they were earlier in this topic , wouldn't it be great if some positive news came out soon , the season is all but done , the J & J statue in place , evidence from the past that we can be successful , Β  hope for the future I'm sure we will be back , moving forward , let's hope so , COYPΒ

I understand all the concern from Notts fans but if there is nothing to report then that's where we are. There's no point repeating 'negotiations are ongoing'Β  every day, unfortunately the long (almost) silence inevitably breeds speculation. The longer there is no official announcement then the more there will be rumour and speculation.I hope something positive happens soon though.

Well, I'm sitting and I'm waiting for news. Am I frustrated at the lack of news/progress? Yes, I am, but there is nothing I can do about it, so I will continue to sit and wait.

I will add though that it should be paramount that a permanent manager andΒ competitive budget is put into place as soon as possible, I think the vast majority of fans are owed that.

Β

Seems someone else is in the running now , someone posted on MAD that AT had said as much on social media Β , and so it goes on .Β

Looking at AT's twitter she just says talks are ongoing, no mention of another party being interested from what I can see ?

* I don't have her on Facebook but apparently ray thought it would be done within a few days but someone else came into the frame and talks are ongoing, so maybe we were close to being sold but someone else offered a better bid ?
