Roy Carroll has been released by Notts County, according to Radio Nottingham this morning. Thank you for your service to Notts County, Roy.

I'm surprised there's nothing out there yet about this, good luck to Roy if he moves on - I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen. I know earlier in the season after Ricardo dropped him, some fans spoke about how he was linked with his home land as a potential goalkeeping coach.

I would like to wish Roy all the best as well. Personally I thought he was a better keeper than Loach, much more commanding and vocal, but not as good a shot stopper. Unfortunately, this seasons defence has shown up his lack of agility and you wouldn't even have been able to organise this lot for a firing squad!

Good luck Roy, I'll be cheering you on in France. For all his faults you can't deny that his heart is still in it.

Does this mean we have a retained list then? Or has Roy Carroll decided to move on?

Good luck Roy! He was amazing last season but this year hasn't been amazing as a whole, he has had a rubbish defence in front of him so I don't blame him this year, I knew he wouldn't stay on for next year though.

Can he still go to the Euros without a club ?

He can. I'm open to correction but Notts County could be his listed club when the tournament begins. That would be nice to see.

Contracts usually run until 1 July, so we probably will be.
