@Fozzy ..his own backroom team... I've always been against "bringing in my best buddy" ( Derry and the "clown") as in professional sport now, you need someone with a constructive perspective. However in this case, I think we may well have brought in a suitable #2. It's now the Chief Scout, Head of Recruitment, that is the crucial part of the jigsaw.

Yeah, no. Let's not get in a Head of Recruitment who signs his own squad whilst the manager signs another, we've tried that.

@Super_Danny_Allsopp The manager must always have the final say. The point I was making that the Chief Scout /HofR must have a track record of "finds" and someone that JS can work with. It will be interesting if Bennett figures in the plans for next season and wonder if any of those remaining under contract will be told to look for other clubs. Furthermore will contract offers to Hollis and Atkinson be withdrawn if they have not already signed up?

I would assume it would be down to if John Sheridan wants to see the pair remain at the club.

I have to say, I think its time that Notts are ran like a club that operates in League Two. All this Premier League/Championship approach is a waste of time and resources, there is a reason why we are failing and its because of the leadership from the errors of basic mistakes. We are no bigger than any club in this division unless we work for it.

from Shakey on Twitter..... " Can anyone at @Official_NCFC confirm that Sheridan was only chosen cus someone found Jimmy Sirrel's old training gear with JS on everything"

:D

@Piethagoram Haha!! Keith strikes again. :P

Hopefully that is where any potential comparison stops though, but JS has a tough job on his hands.
