Doesanybody know if we are having a new kit this year? With the kit supplier and sponsor being the same, could this be a year we keep the kit the same without changing it?

We are definitely having a new kit! But like usual we won't get it till at least the end of this month, but Jason turner has said he will make sure it doesn't happen next year

I heard a rumour that the club forgot and that we're playing skins this season.

Perhaps we could get all new players to tattoo black stripes on themselves (or white, as appropriate). Then we couldn't have to bother with shirts, plus it would keep them loyal.

The club had announced that the club shop was closed (during a week day) sometime time ago, I recall seeing a tweet from the clubs media stating it was due to stock-take. Usually this only happens when there's sensitive items the club doesn't want to see, so I assume the training shirts and kit had arrived then.

I'm having the stab in the dark that the club will announce the sale just before the Forest game.

There's a lot of reasons this would make sense, fans who have been vocal about the date it was arranged for may be tempted to avoid other events in the city and opt to purchase the shirt on that day (i.e more attending Steady Eddie's well deserved testimonial). The kit release has always been notoriously slow, I am aware that the CEO (who said in one of his statements) has mentioned he has desire to change this - so lets hope next season Notts are one of the first to release their kit (rather than one of the last as it always tends to be).

I know fault falls usually on the supplier but I am of the mind that its a two way thing.

The shirts release is one of many things that the club could use to build the optimism around Meadow Lane ahead of a new season. It always seems like we as a club just stagger through pre-season (not meaning to sound harsh but it is my belief).

As did the two previous people responsible.

@notts-joeClub shop closed for stock take.... maybe necessary for close of financial year?

why would anywhere close just because the financial year ended? it was prob just a stock take.

Most teams have at least unveiled if not released their kits, why oh why must we be so slow? At least things on the pitch are looking good!

No home kit till mid august and no away kit till September! Players to wear new kits but fans ones are still being produced

I've got a feeling the home kit will incorporate black and white stripes.  All will be revealed tomorrow according to the CEO:

"We will be revealing our new playing kit within the next 24 hours, so season ticket holders should keep an eye on their inbox tomorrow morning for an exclusive first glimpse of the images. These pictures will then be released across our website and social media later in the morning".

@ohstanleyaborah I'm sorry but fans can't have the new kits until the middle of August AFTER the season has already started.

No other club in the football league has this problem, @erindoors why are we so unprofessional we can't time the release of a kit properly?

That's what i was saying buddy! And Mrs T said on twitter that it is the supplier that deals with production and delivery and that she isn't to blame as she wasn't CEO when it was all sorted out, either way carbrini are a shambles

Apparently the new kits have been emailed to season ticket holders. Anyone fancy sharing? I know you like to feel special, but we're all going to see them sooner or later anyway ;)

As for the timing, we can only hope that this is a hangover from last season that won't be repeated. To look on the bright side, the last time we were promoted from this division, no-one had any idea what the kits even looked like (or even the sponsor) until kick-off on the opening day!

I think that's because the picture they put out is grey, and it looks like it could be r*d in real life. But I don't think the club/Carbrini would be that crass. It could just as easily be blue or green. I wouldn't mind a green away shirt, but it wouldn't look good wit h the Ladbrokes logo. Home shirt looks like a no-nonsense affair.

That is the best I've found so far

Having stared at that picture open-mouthed for long enough, I think that is supposed to be pink, not r*d. But it's too close for comfort. And it's utterly vile. Hope the home kit doesn't hold any unpleasant surprises (white shorts anyone?).

It does look pinker on this

That one's alright. A bit similar to the anniversary kit, but that's not a bad thing. I quite like the stripy socks and back (some years our kits aren't actually very stripy - the front of the shirt and that's yer lot). I'll take a closer look at it when it's in the club shop, haven't bought a shirt in years.

My eyes are still bleeding from that away shirt though!

That away kit is one of our worst. Anything close to red should be avoided or the club should be prepared for an avalanche of criticism. The home kit is fine. I quite like the socks.
