Big Sam in trouble

Our former manager seems to have been caught telling "businessmen" (in reality undercover reporters) how to circumvent rules on third-party ownership of players and using his status as England manager to enrich himself to the tune of 400k a year:

Oh dear. England managers have been sacked for less.

I get the feeling the F.A won't sack him, probably hefty fine and a lot of moaning.

When I woke up this morning, Absolute Radio was mentioning it and I don't know why there's a surprise. He was reported as doing similar before, Bolton, Newcastle and Sunderland when he was there. We should just call him Big Bung.

The F A cannot be relied upon to follow anything through...but that's another Storrie :D

I think it will be a case of Hi Sam, Bye Sam. The FA would lose all credibility if they left Sam in charge. Sam is an idiot. An arrogant idiot.

£3m a year and he still looks to enhance his income! Will not be missed.

First time the FA have shown they got........

I am actually surprised but I suspect he's been paid off, so he'll be laughing and he won't really need to go back into management - will this really punish him? I actually think he's gotten off pretty lucky, as I said before I thought they would only fine him.

I won't miss him, never have forgiven him for the way he left Notts and went straight into the Bolton job. At least he turned up to resign face to face this time and didn't slide it under the door.

I would never have expected Jermaine saying anything insightful.....

But I find I am in agreement with him. Personally I would go with Klinsmann, yes I can hear the uproar for going foreign again. Aside from Eddie Howe, who perhaps need a chance to shadow allowing him to do his day job, no other English candidate stands out

Allardyce was a greedy fool. I'd have thought he'd have at least kept his nose clean while England manager, but he clearly thinks he can walk on water.

Not really, Allardyce had a 100% record. The best ever England manager - there's something for the ego :D

I'm at a loss as to who should take over now. To say the list of potential successors is uninspiring is an understatement. A good man manager and tactician is needed. Not a cheque book manager. And please not Klinsmann!

Couldn't agree more, none of the favourites on the bookies lists look remotely up to the job, apart from one - Arsene Wenger.  Even then, there are doubts as to when he would be available and whether he would want the job.  Knowing the way the FA operate we'll end up with Gareth bleeding Southgate!

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.
