Ratings Notts v Crewe

On my normal mean of 5

Collin 5.5.. Wonders will never cease, just seen him release the ball quickly twice in one game. #Astonishing :D In terms of his normal job, too static, and poor communication with Duffy and Brisley, for balls Collin should have dealt with.

Hunt 6 Disciplined performance

Duffy and Brisley  7 each. Solid and dependable

Jones 6.5 Got into good positions

Hewitt 7.5 A very dodgy opening 20 minutes with a book full of misplaced passes. After that excelled in a box to box running game, a la Andy Hughes

Husin 8 Stupendous strike, when we needed it.Some studious passing , making the midfield tick

Grant 6 Was well marked by Crewe which in turn gave Elliot the space

Alessandra 6 Cant fathom out if he deliberately chooses not to cross in an effort to find a better ball. Offers movement but lacks the clinical edge when we looking to score 5 or 6

Stead 6 Goal scoring run, temporarily put on ice

Shola 6 Missed a great chance to score

harsh on collin, he ran for the ball when pressed several times and seem very commanding!

i would give him 7.

hunt played well, much better than duffy. i would say hunt was 6.5 and duffy a flat 5. brisley was good defensively but awful passing. grant would also get a 7 for me. rest i agree with.

Pretty much agree. Collin stays on his line for balls he should deal with and a couple of his kicks nearly put us in trouble. Duffy is accident prone and was at fault for their goal so a 5 for me. You are right and few have mentioned it Hewitt was awful for 20 mins. I thought mason Bennett showed us the future, his pace caused them problems. I hope he becomes a starter but with Shola as he holds the ball up better than Stead and has great awareness

I thought Collin was honestly flawless yesterday.

People still need to be mindful he's coming back after his injury, so some of his rust may be related to that - yet he has highlighted why Fitzsimons might not be able to replace him so easily.

His distribution was fine, I think the outfield players need to learn to make more space available to him or whoever is in goal.

I would rate him higher myself, yet I would agree that the others are spot on or close enough.

Collin made three incredible saves yesterday which should have gone in, two within the first half and one in the second. Duffy's positioning was woeful at times and he doesn't seem to acknowledge this.

Duffy is still the main issue with the back four, although much better than he was, he still makes too many mistakes.

Collin and Fitz will be an interesting battle. Colin, like Duffy, is much improved on last season, but he doesn't come for balls that he should do at times, but when he does his handling is usually decent. Fitzsimons is the chancier of the two keepers, he will come for stuff and sometimes not get there. I actually prefer this method, Bruce Grobbelaar did it for years at Liverpool and got away with it loads of times!
