Callum Mcgregor

He's good from what I've been told, very promising and much better than the rumour I reported on.

I was given the name, told he would be joining today and decided to go with it. That's the problem with rumours you can make a simple mistake or get it right but it's nothing major in my opinion, especially if I insist it's a rumour.

Callum McGregor is good talent - He scored in their pre-season friendlies and did well in them I'm told. I will follow up a little later :D

He's not even on Wikipedia, how is he supposed to get judged by 99% of Notts fans?!

Oh, we'll have to wait until we actually see him play, such a shame.

But in all seriousness, hope the lad does well as I'm still not convinced by this Labadie - Fotheringham pairing.

It's his chance to prove himself, the lad's got a good chance at making the Celtic squad. If he comes here and under-performs it won't help him, I'm also not a big believer in stats because some times a good player is shocking and coaching staff can get the most out of some poor players.

I know what you mean though, it's a good indication.

Fotheringham I am impressed with, Ladadie too but I agree they need to work on their partnership in the middle if it's going to work. :)

I'm not convinced with either to be honest. I've seen Fotheringham play pre-season, and while I was impressed, I was a bit hesitant how that performance would translate in to the season.

I agree, although I do feel Fotheringham can play a good role within the squad.

This will give us chance to see who deserves a starting place and I think the young lad from Celtic will want to impress.

Now, would you try to extend his loan?

I've had a positive reaction on Facebook, i would definitely snap him up because it would show intent and hopefully help his confidence. He must be sky high at the moment and sometimes with players it's required to push them further, he's got the skill and attributes to continue growing and there's every chance that Celtic will agree a longer deal in order to help with this.

I would, we can't lose this quality.

I would definitely try to extend his loan, he is a class player, I hope he stays for the season but let's not kid ourselves that Celtic will let him come on a permanent basis, this loan is just a step on the ladder for him to gain experience.

You can never say never, though I agree.

I think that he's got good chances of making a name for him with Celtic, though if things don't work out. I'm bagging #firstdibs
