Don't worry too much,Tony,I think our memories become a bit selective as we get older.I can remember things in great detail from over 60 years ago but only little snippets,A certain smell,like coffee or freshly baked bread, a piece of music,a random comment by someone can remind me of  something i'd completely forgotten about sometimes Then again I have to ask Granny what I did yesterday but then she's forgotten anyway .It's not much fun getting older is it! Drink your cocoa before it gets cold.

It's funny you should say about smells bringing back memories, whenever I smell a certain wood burning it takes me back 50 years to a school trip to the Lake District I was 11 and we burnt the wood for a camp fire.

I was going to have some cocoa but I forgot where it is!
