Family traditions

So today I was talking to my dad about County, also about games and that  the fact he loved going and how he would take my uncle Phil to County and got him involved it then my uncle phill took me to my first ever game. And how Phil could still remember my dad taking him and I could remember him taking me. Does anybody have any memories or family traditions like that or have you got any family or friends into Notts County.?

i dont really have any friends at notts but i have enjoyed learning about people on here, i think people on pon are more sensible than what you find elsewhere. level headed i think is the correct term.

family wise, mine is split but i used to always go with my grandma shopping on sundays.

she would always go in the local shops and it became sort of a tradition for us to avoid using the main high street shops and supermarkets. things have changed now tho.

I think family traditions are increasingly becoming a thing of the past, I can't name any really but it wouldn't be the same not getting @super_pie a season ticket these days or going without his friend Callum.

A field where dreams become reality.

We have some family traditions but they aren’t football related.

One of our family traditions is to go to my sisters on Boxing Day, she puts on a huge spread, if Notts are at home, she knows not to expect us til after the match, even away games though, we don't go til we listened to the full commentary. ;

Not so much anymore, its very difficult with working paterns and kids activities to have any these days, we do always go to Holland on holiday every year, otherwise on match days its always park on the embankment, visit the club shop, have a drink in the club bar before hand, then if we are sitting in the family stand my lad will (when its available) have a kick around on the indoor pitch, then watch the game, tbh though after going all excited to play on the indoor pitch and being denied on more than one occasion my little lad no longer wants to sit in the family stand so we flit between the Derek Pavis and the Kop.

That’s a tradition I think we all would like. It’s nice your sister understands some in my family wouldn’t.

At Christmas we always have wine with our dinner but it has to be an Alsace wine called Gewürztraminer my Dad always used to buy it at Christmas and it’s a tradition we keep.
