The score board

Just buy a new one and not something most likely to break, it's been wasted money since it arrived. Glossy and good looking, pretty crap otherwise.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Simple and cheap solution to this - just bring back the old Home Ales sponsored 'Ivor Thirst' scoreboard that used to be situated on the uncovered terraces on the Kop.  For any youngsters, this was the way we were updated on other game in the olden days.  You had to buy the match programme, in which a number of relevant games were listed in A - Z format.  At half time the blokes in there put up numbers below the letters to give half time scores at the nominated fixtures elsewhere.  The Forest (away) game was always included and the tantalising wait for a 1, 2 or 3 to go up first followed by a zero second was always met by a huge cheer when the home team were in front.  The internet is a great invention, but sometimes the old ways were much more exciting.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

I don't really want the next owner to spend money in areas that could be better spent, I would hope they can avoid spending money to impress. The Trews and Hardy did wonders for doing up Meadow Lane, credit is deserved there and we should be thankful. Yet, I just want the owners to focus on the pitch - once we have some sort of stability it would be nice to focus on the scoreboard/ground.

Before the scoreboard, we should really settle the agreement we have with Basford United.

A field where dreams become reality.

I don't really want to see a six-figure sum go on this, there are better things to be spending that money on.

I like @Elite_pie's suggestion, but the sensible part of me says you can't turn the clock back. Most of us have apps that keep us up to date with scores from all over the country, so the excitement is gone. We need a nice, simple scoreboard that shows the score and can display names of substitutes, added time etc., job done.

Stevenage scoreboard looks practical and cheap. Worth asking the question as to who supplied it?
