Away For Christmas

Featured Replies

Posted

Mrs. H. and myself are going away this year for Christmas. We are spending 5 days on the Isle of Wight, in self catering accommodation. We are taking everything with us including the turkey, beer, wine, all the food and veg etc., we don't want to do any shopping when we get there. I hope the car's suspension is up to it.

I'm just hoping the ferry won't be too rough in the windy weather they have forecast for tomorrow.

So I hope everyone has a great time whatever they are doing and I will see you on my return, I will try and pop in on the forum depending on signal strength, if I don't manage to get on with my predictions can someone do some for me please, cheers all. :waving:

He he he, we can sabotage Tony's prediction league standings here folks.

Have a good time Tony, don't worry about a thing, we'll take care of it.

I never thought of that , don't let Super_Ram anywhere near my predictions

Mrs. H has just been reading out the weather forecast. Severe gales in the south tomorrow causing disruption to travel especially on the sea! Great, think I'll stay at home. If you don't hear anything for a while you'll know the ferry sank without trace.

Oh come on Tony, sometimes I have really good flashes and score highly! I'd really appreciate a chance to help you, help me! It's the least I can do.

Well we made it. We didn't use red funnel we went with Wight Link. The ferry was very rough and some crossings were cancelled ours was delayed but at least we got across.

A branch fell on the car on the island I haven't managed to get a proper look to see if there's any damage as it has been lashing down with rain but I don't think it is too bad.

It's still blowing a gale but we are safely tucked up nice and snug in our holiday home with plenty of supplies.

Have a good one everyone.

Glad you are there ok, hope you had a good day yesterday, if the storm had passed for you, the weather should have been superb.

Surely Mrs H, didn't allow you to go skinny dipping. Did you forget to do the predictions? I 'll just have a look, I reckon they will all be abandoned, so that's what I will put down for you.

Enjoy
