England need to learn to be braver against those difficult sides, a manager can only setup the players but once on the pitch its down to them to play well.

@allardyces tash oh for sure, we as a nation have a mentality of a smaller nation. We can compete we just choose not to for what ever reason. 

Don't get me wrong players don't help themselves at times but when they are setup defensively there's only so much they can do. 

I want to see Southgate succeed as the England manager, he's done well to bring through the next generation - a lot of these players wouldn't have been considered under previous managers until they had more league experience or joined a bigger side.

Jack Grealish needs to be a main focus with building any team.

We don't have any other wingers like him.

Anyone getting tired of hearing the criticism of Southgate? I get that many fans want the nation to succeed or perform better.

It wont happen IMO until a manager can handover a talented, shaped squad onto someone else.

i still think hes the best man for the job, what other english manager has such a good report with young players? eddie howe is the only candidate i can think of that might be able to do a decent job as manager.
