Cox out at Scunthorpe......

Poor appointment, but a good opportunity for Neil Cox to prove himself as the number one. I wonder if he'll end up linking with Neal Ardley?

Scunthorpe is a club in a real mess at the moment, they had something like 30+ players there last season and half of them signed before Cox! They're one of a few clubs in L2 that are just circling the drain now and the drop to the NL seems inevitable.

It's sacking day today, Nuno gone from Spurs and Schopp from Barnsley too!

If you look back at Notts, our most successful managers had no previous connection with the club.... Sirrel, Warnock, Big Sam

The tired cliche "He knows the club" rarely translates into success on the pitch. How close he tried to sign Slocombe, we may never know... but I wouldn't have been surprised had another attempt been made in the January transfer window

Perhaps we can make a cheeky bid to resign Etete from Spurs😆

He should've gone sooner, but at the least Scunthorpe tried to give him time. They need to appoint well from here on.

If we have to spend another season down here, at least we'll probably have another local(ish) away day at Scunny.

Before Christmas, there will be more managers falling and replaced by others. The merry-go-round never stops. Good luck to Neil Cox finding a new job.

it always amazes me how easily some of these managers find work in the same league or higher, like john sheridan. some i know have experience and it wont always be their fault but some are just dire.
