I haven't written one in a while. I scrapped my last blog because the mood in the Notts camp felt so low. I thought it would do more harm than good. Now, with the first signing and a head coach yet to be named, it's got me thinking again.

With a striker and midfielder already signed, what positions do you think Notts should focus on next? The question of replacing Sam Slocombe and Tyler Miller still needs to be answered. Is one keeper enough? Maybe the club should bring in another young talent, like they did with Tiernan Brooks. A centre back, winger, keeper, and attacking midfielder would be ideal. The attacking midfielder should be the kind of signing that makes other League Two teams jealous.

This friendly has just been announced for 9 July. Who else is coming? The match will be played at Darmstadt's Böllenfalltor ground which, unlike Duisburg last season, is where the first team play. It holds just under 18,000 so there should be plenty of room for everyone. Darmstadt itself isn't really a tourist destination but it's a very short bus or train ride from Frankfurt. No excuses for me, even if it is a workday 😁

Good morning all from Invergorden in Bonny Scotland. The weather is overcast but dry and a bit cool. We’ve just docked here for our first port of call after two days at sea, although we did briefly have to stop in **** to disembark a passenger who was very ill and needed hospital treatment I hope they recover. i really like the changes, once fully back with everything in place i think fans will like it too. one thing i miss is the button to create new content. the new editor, design, mobile navigation are very impressive. everything is very snappy and the home page looks great. i like how easy and clear everything is, the modern feel really makes a huge difference. what does everyone else think?

Blimey these photos bring back memories of when I first started work at Simon,May and co on Weekday cross over 60 years ago. I remember on my first day being given directions to a newsagents on Broad marsh bus station via Drury Hill.I didn't know Nottingham very well and it was a bit of an adventure.I can't remember why I was sent to the newsagent but I have a vivid memory of walking down the steps of Drury hill ,which curved to the right as you descended. It would have been just after 9am and the morning rush had almost passed so was almost deserted and gave a feeling of isolation with it being narrow and not being able to see far in front or behind,The curve seemed to last forever and I was glad to reach the openness of the bus station. -
Three key areas for me would be an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal, a reliable backup keeper, and a defender or defensive midfielder who can cover both positions well. If only we could find a player like Gary Liddle, that would tick all the boxes.
