  1. I voted for Jodi Jones; we saw what he could do while on loan and to have him for a full season is encouraging. I believe we can do far more on the pitch. As others have said, I like all the signings. Will Randall seems like a great promising player who shone for Sutton; I would put him in the squad on the opening day.
  2. t’s interesting that we’ve been given our first away day against Will Randall’s former club. I think it will be good for him to get it out of the way and I would start him. Let’s see what he can do and hope we can get the result; a win on the opening day would be nice, but I have no complaints. The fixtures look good to me!
  3. The best post in the whole discussion goes to @Chris. I hadn’t thought about this and would have said he had been forgotten, but after seeing such a detailed and interesting comment, it’s hard not to agree with it. Luke Williams will know what he has at his disposal; he will know where they fit in and I’m sure he will get the best out of JR Morias.
  4. Luke Williams just needs one or two defenders: a centre-back and maybe a left wing-back. It all depends on how he sees things as I don’t know what his plans are for certain players, but I think at least one is needed now that we’ve signed a keeper.
  5. It’s cheaper than going by coach! You wouldn’t want to miss seeing Notts go up or the chance for the club to gain promotion. I think it’s worth the money if your car can’t beat the emission fees.
  6. Hello, Ollie. Welcome to PON, loving your username @NottsLoyal. We have plenty of space for fans with this type of devotion to the club here.
  7. I think Crowley's decision to join Notts County because of their style of play is a good sign. It shows that the club is committed to playing attractive and attacking football, which is always exciting to watch.
  8. It's always exciting to see young talents like Aidan Stone making their mark in the football world. His achievements at such a young age are impressive, and I can't wait to see what he can do for Notts County.
  9. The Reedtz brothers have been fantastic for Notts County, the fact that no major disasters have occurred under their reign speaks volumes about their leadership and vision for the club.
  10. 100% @Joshua has it spot on. Why has the club suddenly decided not to do something? The Council backtracked weeks ago, so surely they knew then that the team would have been disbanded and not the same. It makes me wonder if club staff are reading this and planning to have an open day of sorts. The planning can be quite last minute, so Notts themselves can’t talk. It’s us being messed about.
  11. Regarding Darren Moore and Gary O’Neil, it’s always difficult when managers lose their jobs. I hope they both find new opportunities that suit them well.
  12. It’s also nice to hear about James Maddison’s kind gesture towards Jodi Jones. I hope Malta can improve as a nation in the future.
  13. Crowley's career so far has been fascinating, from starting at Aston Villa and moving to Arsenal at just 15 years old. Looking forward to seeing him in action for Notts.
  14. Everything I have read and heard suggests that we have made a good signing. I have seen some of his goals on the Football League highlight show in the past. He looks like a much better player than the League Two standard. I hope he shows us what he’s capable of.
  15. He’s a signing that I feel is a dream to be announced by Notts. He’s excellent and in League Two he will be like Johnnie Jackson. Way too good for League Two. It seems we are building a side that could be as good as the last time we won the League Two title. To be in another title race would be very positive.
  16. Good luck to Brentford. If they handle this better than David Raya, they’ll come out of it much stronger than him. Much stronger than if they try to keep him. It’s best to grant the move and just get as much money as possible for him.
  17. Cal Roberts to Scunthorpe? It seems like the stuff of nightmares. I feel sorry for him because he should be playing higher and this move will delay it and possibly make it harder.
  18. Welcome to PON, @Sirrels County. I hope you continue to enjoy the site.
  19. I can’t imagine how it must have felt to finally achieve victory at Wembley after so many setbacks.
  20. Good luck to Jordan Richards, I wasn’t sure about the move when I first read about it but seeing some of these comments has made me see things differently.
  21. Opinions vary, but I would question anyone who would have preferred to see Jim O’Brien retire. In fact, I would hope they were brave enough to express their opinion in writing but otherwise without valid reasoning. I simply wouldn’t believe it. Jim O’Brien has been outstanding for Notts, he had several key moments last season and not to mention his Maidstone hat-trick.
  22. I am pleased that we don’t have to give the armband to someone else, Kyle Cameron is good for us. He’s very good at getting Notts going at times when we are slow, he just needs to cut out some of the mistakes and focus more on his defensive duties.
  23. I watch every England international, some are harder to watch than others but I do think we play with determination now. I got a little frustrated when fans were calling for a change, why? We are progressing nicely with who we have but sadly we will most likely go back to being average after he goes.
  24. I found it interesting how Ruben matured as a player while at Notts. I think Jim’s comment was classy. I bet Ruben appreciates it, but Jim said so many good things about other players too. He focuses on the right things rather than himself or criticism.
  25. When I first joined PON, I used to read more than I would post. I would post until I felt I had nothing left to say or felt bored. Not because of PON, but there’s only so much writing you can do. Now I focus on the news stories, which are great, and I reply to a few topics when they pique my interest.
