  1. As I understand it, they’re essentially expressing their good wishes to Notts and expressing gratitude for our choice to use their training facilities. It’s a fairly standard message, but it’s nice to see nonetheless. Their facilities appear picturesque, offering beautiful scenery and excellent training conditions.
  2. It’s a strange transfer, but I can see the sense in it. St Johnstone obviously wanted someone to lead their team. Giving him the armband makes me think he will eventually join them permanently. Otherwise, why make him their captain? I also think Notts should have tried to get a small fee for him. I bet they’re paying his wages, but if it doesn’t work out, it’s doubtful he will come back here, especially after what he’s said.
  3. It’s a situation that didn’t work out. It seemed like an ideal signing, but not everything goes as planned. Best of luck to Will Randall; he needs to play every week. He won’t get that here. It was doubtful he would be a first-team player when he signed. This is for the best.
  4. It doesn't matter what I think; the referee awarded it, and only the Dutch will be complaining. If any English fans complain about it, they need their heads examined.
  5. Great player. He leaves with my respect, and I hope he excels in the Championship. Such a great goalscorer, but more than that, he gives everything on the pitch, and that desire is unbeatable. Best wishes, Macca.
  6. A decent number of tickets have been sold so far. Now that they’re available for general sale, it’ll be intriguing to see if any new supporters or previous season ticket holders who haven’t renewed for a few seasons decide to return. The final number of tickets sold will always be a reflection of our fan base.
  7. I hold Connell Rawlinson in high regard. His decision to leave on mutual terms may be distressing, but it’s commendable as he’s acted in the club’s best interest. This move doesn’t largely benefit him, even though it allows him to find a club where he’s likely to play more. In a sport where some are content to sit idle just for a salary, I greatly respect Rawlo. He’s endured a lot with us.
  8. Thank you, Connell, for all your hard work and dedication. You've been a rock for us. Sad to see you go but wishing you the very best in whatever comes next for you.
  9. I believe there’s still scope for enhancements, perhaps another right-footed centre-back. An attacking-minded midfielder could be a valuable addition. If we were to lose Macaulay Langstaff - and I’m not suggesting we will - but that would necessitate finding a suitable replacement.
  10. He appears to be a sturdy addition to the team. Notts are constructing what seems to be a very equitable and balanced side. The defensive reinforcements, such as Rod McDonald, are greatly appreciated.
  11. @BiggestPieInGlasgow share your pride as a fan here! Welcome, to PON.
  12. Curtis Edwards appears to be a valuable addition to the team. I concur with others that he brings a unique element to the squad. It’s reassuring to have some experienced players in the midfield. I believe he and Matt Palmer will be in sync on the field.
  13. The club conducted a commendable interview with Matt Palmer. He seems eager to return, even though it might take some time. However, he should be ready by the start of the season. I’m excited to see him don the Notts shirt again.
  14. I’ve always rated Matt Palmer, but his recent feats have really boosted my respect for him. His New York engagement shows his love for life, and his vice-captaincy underlines his importance to Notts County. His candidness about his injury struggles makes him all the more admirable. It’s brilliant to see him bouncing back stronger. As fans, we’re buzzing about his return and the possible link-up with Scott Robertson. Their teamwork on the pitch could be a real game-changer. Palmer’s journey is a shining example of grit and positivity.
  15. Is it any good? I remember seeing the promotional stuff before it was released, but I haven't seen any of the episodes.
  16. All positive things right now, the new signings are promising, and it's good to hear the head coach's thoughts. Defensively, Notts need to be much better, and hopefully, the new signings will help. It's been years with issues at the back, especially from set pieces, so I am hoping these problems start to get resolved.
  17. Welcome to PON @Scotty. It's always nice to see a new member here.
  18. It's great to see another Notts fan doing well and getting on TV. Our colours should be worn with pride.
  19. The squad is shaping up nicely, with no real concerns about the starting lineup, and we have quality on the bench. A bit more depth would be good, but I can't see many more signings coming in. Ideally, we need a versatile midfielder.
  20. It's make or break for Scotland tonight. I don't think a draw will be enough for them to go through. I could be wrong, but I think they will be going home.
  21. Good read, but I don't think there's much to worry about. England will adapt to any style. The game will always prevail. There are more young English players in the Premier League now than a few years ago.
  22. Absolutely buzzing about Alex Bass joining our club! His stats from last season show he’s a top-tier goalkeeper. 16 clean sheets and narrowly missing the Golden Glove is no small achievement. It’s clear that the board is making strategic moves to bolster our defence, and I’m here for it. Bass’s experience and skill will be pivotal for us. Can’t wait to see him in action and how he fits in with the new defensive line-up. Exciting times ahead!
  23. It’s a good move by the club. It would be great if Notts’ staff could be more creative and try new things, not just copy other clubs. But it’s good they’re open to trying proven ideas. I’m confident it’ll work well, especially if Les is in charge.
  24. I mostly visit news websites and Netflix. I’m not much into YouTube or other streaming platforms like Dailymotion. I like online communities, but I’m not a huge fan of social media. It’s alright in small amounts, but too much can be depressing.
  25. A little bit of magic can make a big difference, so I’m hoping Jodi Jones can change the game for us. Home teams should make their ground a tough place for visitors. We should support our players instead of criticising them. Positive support has often helped turn things around. Let’s hope tomorrow is our day!
