  1. Good read, but I don't think there's much to worry about. England will adapt to any style. The game will always prevail. There are more young English players in the Premier League now than a few years ago.
  2. Absolutely buzzing about Alex Bass joining our club! His stats from last season show he’s a top-tier goalkeeper. 16 clean sheets and narrowly missing the Golden Glove is no small achievement. It’s clear that the board is making strategic moves to bolster our defence, and I’m here for it. Bass’s experience and skill will be pivotal for us. Can’t wait to see him in action and how he fits in with the new defensive line-up. Exciting times ahead!
  3. It’s a good move by the club. It would be great if Notts’ staff could be more creative and try new things, not just copy other clubs. But it’s good they’re open to trying proven ideas. I’m confident it’ll work well, especially if Les is in charge.
  4. I mostly visit news websites and Netflix. I’m not much into YouTube or other streaming platforms like Dailymotion. I like online communities, but I’m not a huge fan of social media. It’s alright in small amounts, but too much can be depressing.
  5. A little bit of magic can make a big difference, so I’m hoping Jodi Jones can change the game for us. Home teams should make their ground a tough place for visitors. We should support our players instead of criticising them. Positive support has often helped turn things around. Let’s hope tomorrow is our day!
  6. Reading Austin’s thanks makes me even prouder to support Notts. It's a tough season, and knowing players like Sam not only recognize but appreciate our efforts, fuels my support even further. His pivotal role, adapting seamlessly across the field, provides a blueprint for the versatility and resilience we need in the run-in. It's players like him, acknowledging the fans' role, that enhance the bond between club and community. Here’s to closing the season strong, together.
  7. Stuart Maynard's positivity in the face of fixture congestion is exactly the type of leadership needed during such a hectic period. Recognizing the importance of every squad member, including the boost from McGoldrick's return, shows a strong team ethos. It’s clear Maynard is looking to instill not just a fighting spirit but a winning mentality, focused on one game at a time.
  8. Brilliant idea from the club! This could really enhance match days for fans. I hope they don't go overboard with the plans and instead keep it simple at first, allowing room for improvement. This way, it can grow in sync with the fans and not fall short despite its initial promise.
  9. Matty Palmer’s dedication to his recovery is truly inspiring. His work ethic, as he tackles the immense challenge of building muscle mass after such a significant injury, is a testament to his determination and resilience. It’s heartening to hear that he’s pushing himself, recognising the importance of strength in his journey back to the pitch. We’re all eagerly awaiting his return, keeping our fingers crossed for a swift and successful recovery. His progress serves as a reminder of the grit and spirit inherent in football. Here’s to Palmer’s speedy return! ????????
  10. Ian Burchnall's leaving could be the biggest bank heist for our club, it would be interesting to find out if he did leave us for FGR for £38k. That's far too much for him.
  11. Hello! Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @True Magpie.
  12. There are many uncertainties with us being without a manager. I believe Jim O'Brien will realise through experience that a stable team is more effective. I also don't think anyone played particularly poorly, at least not individually or enough to be removed from the team. I will be pleased to see us reach Saturday without rumors of players leaving. That, along with a good performance against Stockport, could be a relief.
  13. Those were the days, a genuine Wembley and Wembley way. I get mixed up about which final it was where we scored straight from a throw-in, only for it to be disallowed. Andy Legg was ahead of his time with those long throws.
  14. Welcome to our community! We’re thrilled to have you here @Robbie__64.
  15. Welcome to our community @StanfordPie! We’re thrilled to have you here.
  16. Fantastic to see Langstaff's progression this year, he's really stepped up. His transition from non-league to League Two has been inspiring to say the least. I'm eager to see him in action next year. He deserves all our encouragement.
  17. Adam Nowland is another player to be added to this list.
  18. I don’t think it’s a wise decision, but I haven’t seen many complaints. I believe Steve Cooper was capable of keeping them up. It’s an odd decision to make just before Christmas.
  19. Ideally, we need a positive result. There was a time earlier in the season when I thought we could get something from this game, but we’re currently lacking in many areas. If Stockport play to their potential, it could be quite a spectacle for them. A bit of spirit and fight would be welcome, as would avoiding self-destruction. But the most important thing is to strive for the best possible outcome.
  20. He might become a competent manager one day, but he’s always rushing and hasn’t dedicated enough time to learning. He’ll either be a natural or he’ll fail. I wish him the best, though succeeding at Woking is tough.
  21. His first goal on debut was brilliant, wasn't it? I can still remember the raw emotion. Macari is certainly one to watch!
  22. While Harry Arter may not be on the same wage scale as some players, his salary would still be significant, and we managed to get him to drop to the National League. I don’t anticipate much coming from this, though. I would guess that the club inquired with Forest about their options before signing Ollie Tipton and Lewis Macari. However, circumstances can change.
  23. I believe if we had signed him at the start of the season, some might have lost interest in him by now due to the time it took for him to get his opportunity. Hopefully, we can find a way to integrate him quickly into our first team and strengthen it. He does seem to be a reliable defender.
  24. I’m struck by his honesty and clear-eyed evaluation of the team. He's right, we cannot cower in fear. Football is, after all, a game of courage and determination. Playing scared is clearly affecting our game build-up and resulting in too many turnovers. I believe in the team’s potential, and I hope this critique stands as a wake-up call.
  25. This is a noteworthy addition to our squad. Welcome, Macari! His decisive goal against Gillingham demonstrated how efficient he can be in mounting pressure situations. Well done on the permanent signing, Notts County!
