  1. It was a bit annoying, but I must give credit to Colchester United as they managed to stay on top of the game. If John Bostock had been playing from the beginning, I don’t think they would have been able to apply as much pressure. But that’s just how it goes. On any other day, we would have come out on top. But we didn’t this time, and we just need to look back and get better. Our main focus should be on being consistent and staying alert while defending. We need to work together as a team, rather than as individuals.
  2. While it’s never a simple affair, Colchester United demonstrated their worthiness. Our goals were impressive, and if you only saw those, you’d undoubtedly declare, β€˜that’s why they’re at the top of League Two’. However, the same cannot be said if you were to see their goals. Don’t misunderstand me, they played well, but had we not made the mistakes we did, we could have won. The errors were our own doing, and some of their goals weren’t particularly good. I’m not expressing this out of bitterness; defensively, we didn’t deserve anything from the game.
  3. Notts have made a comeback in the second half, showing more energy. The introduction of John Bostock has significantly improved the game. Macaulay Langstaff scored an early goal, bringing us back into the match. Well done! We need one more goal to ease the tension in the game. Forget that, we've let our fans down who came to watch us. We've given them another chance to score an open goal. It's really frustrating!
  4. Their insights on Notts’ progress so far are appreciated. I haven’t seen a Left Lion magazine in years. Have they ceased publication? It would be regrettable if that were the case.
  5. Scunthorpe United appears to be in a dire situation. I would hope they can recover, but without a ground, a club isn’t much of a football team. Their owner has the potential to completely devastate the club.
  6. Elliott Hewitt, who also played for Colchester United, surprisingly hasn’t been mentioned. Initially a strong player for us, he lost his way but seems to have found his footing at Mansfield.
  7. Luke Williams has performed exceptionally well. He’s a valuable asset to the club and is demonstrating that with the right setup and resources, one can succeed even with limited managerial experience. He has the right approach and mindset, and Notts is the perfect club for him to gain the experience he needs to further his career in the future. As a relatively young manager, he still has much to learn. I’d wager he’s pleased to be at a club like ours.
  8. All we can do is give our utmost effort, and I’m confident that we, the fans, will support the lads and cheer them on vociferously. It would be splendid if we could secure another 2-0 victory away from home, but I’m uncertain about how Colchester United will perform against Notts. I’ve watched a few of their highlights, and it seems they’ve been unfortunate to concede some goals, while others have been a complete disaster. However, when you’re up against a team that’s near the top of the league, it naturally motivates the opposition players. I don’t anticipate an easy or routine match; I foresee a challenging first half and an improved second.
  9. He’s a player who, I believe, lifted Notts’ game last season. His unique style and intense energy off the bench set him apart from our other players. This season, we haven’t seen the best of Sam Austin yet, but he’s performing well. I hope he gets more opportunities in the starting lineup. When he starts, he shows great potential. However, as a substitute, he seems to take a while to adjust to the game’s speed. His confidence is evident in his play, and I agree with his sentiments on its importance.
  10. As for Dagenham’s new signing, while Freddie Sears may be past his prime, he should still prove effective in the National League.
  11. There’s undoubtedly a belief that we have the potential to excel. Without explicitly stating it, if our growth continues, I don’t see why we couldn’t enjoy another successful season. However, there’s still a considerable journey ahead. Luke Williams is well aware of this and our aim is to maintain our form as best as we can. Winning matches instils a certain mindset within the team, which becomes second nature and almost instinctive. Therefore, by Williams taking each match as it comes, we remain grounded and able to concentrate on what truly matters.
  12. Norwich City 1-1 Birmingham City QPR 2-0 Coventry City Port Vale 1-2 Bolton Wanderers Reading 2-0 Burton Albion Gillingham 0-1 Mansfield Town Salford City 1-1 Newport County Halifax Town 0-1 Eastleigh Rochdale 2-1 Southend United Joker
  13. As for the EFL Trophy, that result is truly embarrassing! What a complete shambles.
  14. Jesse Debrah seemed like a promising prospect to sign, but there are plenty of options. As long as we’re winning, it’s not much of a concern. Hopefully, by January, we’ll have someone lined up because Ollie Tipton and the other lad seem far from ready for our first team.
  15. During his first loan, I was quite fond of Sam Graham, although he did become somewhat nervous and prone to mistakes over time. I hope he does well. I’ve noticed it’s only a short-term deal, and I don’t believe it’s conducive to his development to not be settled with a club that will play him for the long term. I hope he finds his footing in the National League.
  16. What some individuals fail to recognise is that what appears simple isn’t always so. A beautifully executed pass that splits the opposition and accelerates just at the right moment as it crosses the halfway line can be deceiving. It’s likely a bit too fast to keep up with!
  17. The e-book launch by Paul Mace sounds intriguing. I wish him all the best. If any fans purchase it, please do leave a review and provide some feedback as I might consider reading it myself.
  18. As for films, I don’t have a particular favourite as my preferences vary depending on my mood. I’m quite fond of most Pixar and Dreamworks animations, as I tend not to enjoy some of the more serious genres like horror. While I can watch them and find some enjoyable, I generally prefer content that is more family-oriented. Star Wars could potentially be one of my favourites. Interestingly, I actually prefer the films that were released after the original trilogy.
  19. If this licence can be enforced and owners are made to adhere to stricter rules, it could significantly alleviate the debt issues we often see. Sometimes, owners may have a tendency to gamble, throwing caution to the wind and overspending in the hopes of achieving promotion. There’s much that can be done, but this is certainly a positive beginning.
  20. I’ve never met Jimmy, but I’ve read a lot about him over time and it’s clear that many fans respect him greatly for bringing some of the best moments to Notts County during their years of support.
  21. I don’t recall him at all, does anyone else remember any of his appearances?
  22. I don’t think they need to visit the opticians, but the tweet is amusing, like the blind leading the blind. Perhaps they should ring up the ghost hunters? To rid themselves of their troubles.
  23. This is an excellent article, brilliantly penned by @TheSkipper. I believe Notts, under the Reedtz, has truly welcomed its fans. Winning games naturally brings joy, but we’ve demonstrated this season that even when the tide is against us, we continue to support our players and club wholeheartedly. The atmosphere at Sutton was testament to this; despite not seeming likely to gain anything, the fans were phenomenal. As @liampie drove us back, we all discussed the positivity of the support and how it inspired us to attend more away games. This trend has continued at home games and it’s simply remarkable. If Notts County wishes to expand its fanbase, this mutual relationship needs nurturing. The club has been fantastic and seeing Meadow Lane filled to capacity is truly heartening.
  24. Oh… swears****** I need to make the clues significantly more challenging. I might avoid using birth dates and opt for more cryptic hints. Well Done @Fan of Big Tone. You may need to bring a sleeping bag @Fozzy, Tone is really asserting pressure. Did @super_ram even wake up for this round? ????????
