  1. I like seeing the ground busy; it’s nice to see the Pavis Stand full. I wish we could do it in the Family Stand. The club should look into former season ticket holders and see if there are any who simply can’t afford to attend, then offer them a selection of games to attend for free. The scheme where fans were helping others across the UK was a brilliant sight to see.
  2. Oh no, not at all. @Chris didn’t say you had said anything like that; I was simply explaining because it has been a while. There is no misunderstanding at all, @super_ram. I may even throw in a special round featuring a general footballer. If I do, I will make that known beforehand.
  3. Points Table: @Fan of Big Tone - 5 @Fozzy - 4 @super_ram - 2 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie - 1 I am sorry! I forgot all about this. Don’t worry, I will make sure to post two timely rounds per week. The Gaffer told me that @super_ram has asked about it. I didn’t give up on it; I just became busy with work and the start of the season. As I said, I will post two rounds per week. I encourage all members to try to take part. I will post a new round tomorrow, along with the second on Thursday if the first is guessed correctly, of course. The table is updated now.
  4. I hope Tyrell Waite does well; he is their version of our David McGoldrick. Waite has been pushed out wide quite a lot in his career, which is why he hasn’t scored that many goals. If Ilkeston Town plays him as a striker and allows him to settle, he should score plenty for them!
  5. I agree with @Chris; Josh Andrews looked like a lively threat, and he’s still young enough to improve. Birmingham will probably get rid of him at the end of this season or after the next campaign.
  6. The game was very entertaining. A neutral would be content with both teams’ performances, but I think Accrington Stanley fans would have hoped they could have tested Aidan Stone a lot more than they did. They are a good team and work well for each other, and Stone did make some superb saves. Yet, with two or three chances, they should have punished us. For example, when Stone kicked the ball straight to their player, who went clean through and ended up striking the ball towards Stone instead of one of the corners. I thought we were classy, dominant, and calm. The second half was a much better showing from us; we did very little wrong, and David McGoldrick worked well to bring in Macaulay Langstaff. Also, Dan Crowley placed pinpoint passes that went through Stanley’s defence with very narrow space for perfection, yet he made them look simple. Fantastic win! We are top of the league!!
  7. No way is Brennan Johnson worth that amount. It’s silly money. Forest always sell their better players and decline due to that. They throw twice as much into the transfer market themselves, hoping one of the signings will come good while having people on their books who don’t even start or take part in their match days.
  8. It’s a nice feeling to know we are top. It’s been hard work to get there from the players, and the opening day needs to be forgotten now. It’s true that positivity is the way forward. Handling any setbacks is very important because we clearly have a talented team. When the KOP noticed we had gone top, that first chant of being top of League Two - what a moment!!!
  9. Their fans on Twitter are constantly complaining about him when they play Derby County. I saw an Oxford United fan say he was a pointless substitute and offered nothing, just misplacing passes, but they need to give him time. He always seemed to struggle with his match fitness here, but his form saw him through that.
  10. I have also donated and am always happy to support PON. I hope we can hit 100% this month.
  11. I try to balance criticism with positives. I always try to see the brighter side of situations, and although that can be hard, I feel it’s something I do well. I can perhaps be a little critical, but I would never let it cost my enjoyment. We have had our ups and downs, mostly downs, and it’s nice to have a club that is trying to move forward in the right way. I do think we have some massive idiots on social media, people who take joy in picking at the players and moaning. They’re extremely critical, but I don’t focus any energy or time on them.
  12. This is brilliant to see, @Chris. I am also glad to see you taking the pictures. I noticed you going up the top half of the Kop. Thankfully, you didn’t see where I was sitting, but I do like going through the gallery. It’s great to see the faces of PON. Keep going, mate.
  13. A very good victory and performance against a decent Accrington Stanley team, you can tell they are a good side. They played well going forward, as their statistics show, and could have easily controlled the game after equalising. The warning signs were creeping in almost as soon as we scored. We played very well in the second half, more determined and better in control. Langstaff getting yet another brace is great to see, our team pulled off a good victory today.
  14. Middlesbrough 2-0 QPR Joker Plymouth Argyle 0-1 Blackburn Rovers Bolton Wanderers 1-2 Derby County Northampton Town 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers Morecambe 1-3 Salford City Newport County 0-1 AFC Wimbledon Maidenhead United 0-1 Woking Rochdale 2-1 Halifax Town
  15. I want Notts to go into the game and prove themselves. I don’t think Accrington Stanley should be a team we fear, especially at home. A good performance and result will be another bonus, especially after the opening game. I am hoping that Macaulay Langstaff can find the net, but as long as someone else scores for us, it will be all good.
  16. Pace isn’t that important if he can read the game and has enough to make sure he doesn’t get turned inside out. Mike Edwards never had any, but he was still a very good defender. He was also a good header of the ball and would do very well in this Notts squad.
  17. It was a moment of pure excellence when Connell Rawlinson struck the ball into the back of the net. Notts had been putting pressure on Tranmere, but the second goal seemed to be eluding us. I also felt very happy for Connell. He’s a brilliant squad player, and if you take on board everything he says, you can see more of what he brings to Notts.
  18. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  19. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Gary Adamson.
  20. I have consulted five reputable odds sites, none of which mentioned Luke Williams. Why should we be concerned about his departure? I don’t see the point in even suggesting it. It’s neither helpful nor necessary, as it would only be worth mentioning if Williams had been strongly linked. It seems like it’s being said for no real reason. Interestingly enough, Shaun Derry and Sol Campbell are mentioned with odds. I’m confident there will be some updates that include Williams because he’s doing an outstanding job here. However, you can’t expect a manager to abandon everything he’s achieved with a successful team to join a side that has dismissed their manager for underperforming. I can envision them appointing someone like Darren Moore.
  21. Our very own Jodi Jones! I wonder if those Notts fans will be travelling again to show their support?
  22. Despite Leicester City’s defeat, this must have been an exhilarating match. Does anyone have any memorable anecdotes from the game? I would be intrigued to hear them. @Piethagoram, would you consider contributing something about it? It’s challenging for fans like me to elaborate further, but I am curious about the experiences of Notts fans on that day, their expectations, and so on.
  23. My payday is approaching, so I will certainly be making a donation. I have been considering purchasing a print or something similar, particularly one of Kyle Cameron, but instead of doing that, I will express my support through a donation and purchase the print(s) I desire at a later date. Who wouldn’t want to contribute £10 towards something that delivers such high-quality content for free?
  24. Whatever the team has been practising in training, it evidently paid off as the squad had the best start to a game so far this season. I concur entirely with @TheSkipper’s analysis. It was a highly entertaining match, although the referee did overlook some crucial moments. This was true for both teams, but he seemed a bit more lenient with Tranmere. I believe they should have received a yellow card for the early challenge, which was quite shocking. The player also clearly voiced his disagreement, but regardless, Notts won. Aaron Namane’s footwork is faster than most players. He is truly effective when crossing.
  25. Fantastic collection of fan photos, boss! There are so many splendid images of the supporters thoroughly enjoying their match day. Keep up the sterling work.
