  1. Here’s the revised table, at the very top we have a dancing banana and @Fan of Big Tone. @Fozzy is close behind. I’ll have to come up with one that might favour @super_ram, as I’m feeling a bit sympathetic towards him. Please keep participating, I’ll make sure rounds are posted from now on for prompting. Good luck! Points Table: @Fan of Big Tone - 6 @Fozzy - 5 @super_ram - 2 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @Piethagoram- 1 Next round (Round 17) will be posted on Monday, 9th October between 5-6pm.
  2. I’m pleased that the Reedtz are our owners during this time. They deserve a celebration, especially with such a significant milestone game coming up. Our 5000th game could be a real cause for celebration if we perform well and get the right result. Like @liampie, I’ve enjoyed reading this and the pop culture references from that era add a nice touch.
  3. Notts are currently making history. With our owners, we’re taking big steps to awaken this sleeping giant of a club. Luke and his team of coaches, along with the players, are doing a fantastic job. We hope to commemorate our 5000th game with a strong showing. It won’t be easy, but if all the players put in the effort and create opportunities, I’m confident in what can be achieved.
  4. “Cutting out individual errors is point number one,” This statement is spot on. It’s not a big problem, but we do need to start maintaining more shutouts if we want to keep ourselves at the top. As long as we can secure victories and minimise losses or points dropped, there’s always a chance we can remain in the lead. I believe part of the problem lies in our starting strategy. If John Bostock isn’t playing, we need to consider how that might affect our defence and ensure that everyone is working together. Good defending is crucial to winning games, regardless of how many goals we let in. Mistakes are bound to happen, this is League Two football after all, but I think Mark Stallard’s comment hits the mark.
  5. It was a bit annoying, but I must give credit to Colchester United as they managed to stay on top of the game. If John Bostock had been playing from the beginning, I don’t think they would have been able to apply as much pressure. But that’s just how it goes. On any other day, we would have come out on top. But we didn’t this time, and we just need to look back and get better. Our main focus should be on being consistent and staying alert while defending. We need to work together as a team, rather than as individuals.
  6. While it’s never a simple affair, Colchester United demonstrated their worthiness. Our goals were impressive, and if you only saw those, you’d undoubtedly declare, ‘that’s why they’re at the top of League Two’. However, the same cannot be said if you were to see their goals. Don’t misunderstand me, they played well, but had we not made the mistakes we did, we could have won. The errors were our own doing, and some of their goals weren’t particularly good. I’m not expressing this out of bitterness; defensively, we didn’t deserve anything from the game.
  7. Notts have made a comeback in the second half, showing more energy. The introduction of John Bostock has significantly improved the game. Macaulay Langstaff scored an early goal, bringing us back into the match. Well done! We need one more goal to ease the tension in the game. Forget that, we've let our fans down who came to watch us. We've given them another chance to score an open goal. It's really frustrating!
  8. All we can do is give our utmost effort, and I’m confident that we, the fans, will support the lads and cheer them on vociferously. It would be splendid if we could secure another 2-0 victory away from home, but I’m uncertain about how Colchester United will perform against Notts. I’ve watched a few of their highlights, and it seems they’ve been unfortunate to concede some goals, while others have been a complete disaster. However, when you’re up against a team that’s near the top of the league, it naturally motivates the opposition players. I don’t anticipate an easy or routine match; I foresee a challenging first half and an improved second.
  9. He’s a player who, I believe, lifted Notts’ game last season. His unique style and intense energy off the bench set him apart from our other players. This season, we haven’t seen the best of Sam Austin yet, but he’s performing well. I hope he gets more opportunities in the starting lineup. When he starts, he shows great potential. However, as a substitute, he seems to take a while to adjust to the game’s speed. His confidence is evident in his play, and I agree with his sentiments on its importance.
  10. There’s undoubtedly a belief that we have the potential to excel. Without explicitly stating it, if our growth continues, I don’t see why we couldn’t enjoy another successful season. However, there’s still a considerable journey ahead. Luke Williams is well aware of this and our aim is to maintain our form as best as we can. Winning matches instils a certain mindset within the team, which becomes second nature and almost instinctive. Therefore, by Williams taking each match as it comes, we remain grounded and able to concentrate on what truly matters.
  11. I’ve never met Jimmy, but I’ve read a lot about him over time and it’s clear that many fans respect him greatly for bringing some of the best moments to Notts County during their years of support.
  12. This is an excellent article, brilliantly penned by @TheSkipper. I believe Notts, under the Reedtz, has truly welcomed its fans. Winning games naturally brings joy, but we’ve demonstrated this season that even when the tide is against us, we continue to support our players and club wholeheartedly. The atmosphere at Sutton was testament to this; despite not seeming likely to gain anything, the fans were phenomenal. As @liampie drove us back, we all discussed the positivity of the support and how it inspired us to attend more away games. This trend has continued at home games and it’s simply remarkable. If Notts County wishes to expand its fanbase, this mutual relationship needs nurturing. The club has been fantastic and seeing Meadow Lane filled to capacity is truly heartening.
  13. Oh… swears****** I need to make the clues significantly more challenging. I might avoid using birth dates and opt for more cryptic hints. Well Done @Fan of Big Tone. You may need to bring a sleeping bag @Fozzy, Tone is really asserting pressure. Did @super_ram even wake up for this round? ????????
  14. All that is important is securing a victory, with commendable performances serving as a positive indicator. I would be content with an unattractive win, but that wasn’t the situation against Forest Green. We emerged victorious because we merited it and outperformed them throughout the entire 90 minutes. David McGoldrick has been exceptional and his goal was neatly executed.
  15. Round 16: Clue: Can you guess the professional footballer, who first saw the world on a day in early September 1991, and last showcased his skills on the pitch for a team located in the North East of England, often seen patrolling the left side of the field?
  16. Regrettably, I had to put in extra hours at work yesterday and couldn’t share a new round. However, I’ll ensure to do so between 5:30 and 6pm. My questions and hints are already prepared. I just need to share them. This is your heads up. @super_ram @Piethagoram @liampie @Fozzy @KB1862 @Fan of Big Tone
  17. Hello and welcome to PON, @Niederbayern Pie.
  18. Hello, @Middlesex Magpie. It's good to be welcoming you to PON.
  19. Best wishes to Neil Warnock on his retirement. He can confidently retire from the sport knowing he’s made a significant impact. There might be a temptation to return, but I genuinely believe he should savour his leisure time.
  20. The match was quite thrilling, typical of Notts. There were moments of suspense, and Forest Green deserves recognition for being the most challenging team we’ve faced at Meadow Lane so far. We might have games like this from time to time, where the opposition scores and supporters feel we could improve. However, the key is to keep our performance consistent. It was a brilliant victory!
  21. Hello, @Morten Johansen. It's great to have you here! You will be kept up-to-date very easily with PON and I hope you enjoy it! We're delighted to have you here.
  22. Hello, @JOHN BOND. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. it's good o have you here.
  23. Hello, @Benji. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Keep having your say when you can. ????
  24. It’s hard to fathom that the answer was mentioned in the immediate post after my query. Regrettably, my attempt to throw a curve ball resulted in me getting pie on my face. @Piethagoram correctly identified Jamie Fullarton. Points Table: @Fan of Big Tone - 5 @Fozzy - 5 @super_ram - 2 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie - 1 @Piethagoram - 1 Next round will be posted on Monday, between 5-6pm. ????????????
