  1. It's a great read @Fan of Big Tone, it's also nice to get an insight into your years of support.
  2. This signing feels a lot more important knowing that Ruben Rodrigues has left Notts for pastures new. I think David has the chance to become more than one County’s hero. I think he will prove himself to be a very good addition even though it’s for the short term. The good thing about David McGoldrick signing is that if we need a striker, he can fill that role. If we need someone to cover out wide, while not being the most natural, he can do that too. Yes, I know he’s getting on but I think he and Jim O’Brien can match many of the lads for fitness. Great signing!
  3. Oxford United fans should be happy because Ruben is outstanding. A very good player, one who should excel in League One. Good luck to him.
  4. It’s always sad to see a good player leave, even worse when you look up to them or rate them highly. He’s made a decision to leave based on his own aspirations and it’s hard to allow the sadness to become bitter. Not for a player like Ruben. I have enjoyed watching him play when I have been able to watch games remotely.
  5. Fantastic news! I am pleased that we have managed to retain some experience from last season. We need Aaron Nemane and Kyle Cameron to extend now, but I do agree that Jim has been a workhorse for Notts.
  6. I like Jodi; he’s got that quality about his approach to playing, and the way he thinks before making decisions seems almost instant. I hope he enjoys the three internationals he’s on; if he bags a goal, that would be excellent too.
  7. The home fixtures should bring in some good revenue for the club. As for the away games, they are all nice trips which fans can make the most of their local areas before games. York and Boston especially since they have tourist locations.
  8. I discover articles like this to be helpful as a fan in exile; the content and remarks offer me more excellent knowledge than I would acquire without access to such resources. I recognise that the players mentioned are Chris's individual proposals, and the club may have alternative players under consideration. Despite this, it is a well-written piece and intriguing to theorise about possible signings without delving into the world of rumours.
  9. I remember the sending off and thinking it was very softly given, but aside from that, nothing. He doesn’t appear to have done much since.
  10. The majority of his teammates stopped playing football altogether, including the young chap who transferred to Mansfield. As for the whereabouts of Nathan Fox, I am not too sure. I didn't get a chance to observe Greg Tempest sufficiently to have much to say about him, only having viewed his highlights.
  11. As Sutton's leading joint goal-scorer, it is evident that we have a talented player capable of scoring. This acquisition seems poised to solidify Notts' aspirations and enable them to progress in League Two. I am immensely pleased with this development.
  12. Congratulations to Macaulay Langstaff for winning yet another award! If the National League and Non League paper did more awards, he would surely be in for a lot more. Keep up the great work!
  13. Absolutely chuffed to have Jodi Jones signing for Notts! Not only is he a top-notch player with bags of skill, but I reckon he'll be a massive hit with shirt sales too. It's only natural for a player of his calibre to be popular amongst the fans. Here's to hoping he has a cracking season with us and brings some much-needed success for the team. All the best, Jodi!
  14. While the Non-League hasn't been detrimental, I'm thrilled we've managed to leave it behind. Our time there could have dragged on, shortening the Reedtz era. Now, we can focus on achieving even greater success for Notts County.
  15. I am thoroughly impressed by the responses to this game! The thoughtful and well-reasoned explanations are a impressive to the depth of knowledge and engagement from those participating. I'll make every effort to contribute to the discussion in a timely manner if I'm able to provide valuable input. Cheers for the insightful discussion!
  16. It's refreshing to read about footballers who remain grounded no matter what level they play at, and Macaulay Langstaff is a perfect example of this. Despite having the talent and potential to play at higher levels, he's committed to Notts right now and that's something to admire. Langstaff seems to remember his roots and has a strong work ethic, traits that are crucial for success in any field. If he continues to work hard, there's no reason why he can't play higher up. It's great to see young footballers like Langstaff setting an example for others, proving that humility and persistence can take you a long way in life.
  17. Jodi Jones is an intelligent footballer who seems to be very switched on whenever he's on the pitch. I had the pleasure of watching him play in the playoff final on TV, and he was nothing short of a game-changer. He's very confident in his ability and natural on the ball, traits that make him stand out from other attackers. Jones has a habit of taking on defenders and making things happen, and his ability to create chances out of nothing is a testament to his footballing intelligence. When he gets going, he's very exciting to watch and has a knack for lighting up the pitch. It's clear to see why he's rated as one of the brightest talents in the game today. Jones has a bright future ahead of him, and I'm looking forward to seeing him continue to shine in the years to come.
  18. It's not often that you come across a midfielder who can make a real difference on the pitch, but Matt Palmer is one such player. He has all the attributes of a top-quality midfielder - focused, determined, and a leader on the ball. Palmer seems to be the difference between winning and losing, and his contribution is often what sets his team apart. His technical skills are matched by his tactical awareness, and he's equally adept at defense as he is in attacking. It's no wonder that Palmer is the type of midfielder every club wants in their squad. It will be interesting to see how his career progresses over the years, but there's no doubt that he has the potential to go on to achieve great things in football.
  19. Johnny Forte was always a favourite among fans for his uncanny ability to score goals. It was a surprise to many when Kevin Nolan made the mistake of not giving him more playing time. Forte's performances on the pitch were always top-notch and it's a shame the reason for his lack of appearances was never made public. Some speculate that there may have been behind-the-scenes disagreements or other factors at play, but we may never know for sure. Regardless, Notts County could have definitely benefited from Forte's inclusion in the team and it's a missed opportunity that may haunt the club for some time to come.
  20. @ARLukomski I hope you understand how important your vlogs are to fans like myself. Since becoming a member of the Pride of Nottingham, I eagerly anticipate each new video. Despite being unwell lately, your videos have been a beacon of light and my only window into what regulars can see. Your hard work is both noticed and appreciated. Thank you for all your efforts, particularly this season. I am grateful to be able to relive the Wembley experience through your perspective and analysis.
  21. The owners of our club are fantastic. I hope they have the capability to continue bringing success to Notts. It would be gratifying if this journey was just the start and by the end of it we might possibly be a Championship outfit.
  22. The gallery is impressive. It was fascinating to see the Faces of PON.
  23. I watched the playoff final on an American sports channel that picks up BT Sport’s games in the US. Honestly, I didn’t think Notts would beat Chesterfield who pressed for every ball in the first half. When Notts came into it they looked better but Chesterfield always looked dangerous until it came to taking the pens.
  24. Do you see what I mean about Notts always performing best as the underdogs? Boreham Wood made it difficult in the first half but teams can't maintain that level of pressure for 90 minutes. Their mistake was relaxing at half time and not picking up where they left off. It switched them from being the underdogs to Notts because Boreham Wood failed to kill the game completely. It made it more lively. I strongly feel that Luke Williams would have told his side that the game is still winnable in his half time team talk. That early strike by Aden Baldwin turned the game on its head. Pulling level, when Notts' quality increased and Boreham Wood became more focused on defending, meant that Notts had to knock on their door relentlessly. Boreham Wood should have kicked out their antics and pushed for their third after our first. They could have made a real fans of it, but credit to Notts they turned on the class and they choked. The old saying that it's a game of two halves is true. Well done to Luke Williams and the players, they pulled it off and it was great to see the fans flood the pitch after that anxious first half.
  25. I'm sorry to start this off in such a way, but I always feel as if Notts do better when they're considered the underdogs. Notts won't be; Boreham Wood are. It's a blessing that it's at home, but just remember that smart teams can sense when fans want blood and hearing comments directed at players for either a simple mistake or whatever is enough to make any opposition team play on it. Notts fans need to do their best to stay positive no matter what. This isn't a roll of the dice but a gamble which is unfair to a squad that has finished 2nd, scored over 100 goals and earned more than 100 points. Remember, nerves can hit anyone no matter what their profession. Stick together and be the 12th person on the pitch. With all this said, I feel my nerves slightly relaxing, but I don't stop feeling like my heart is in my mouth until the game is over. Notts has some very, very classy players at this level and depth that any team could inly dream of having right now in these circumstances. They will do us proud, no matter what.
