Great pics once again @Fan of Big Tone i didn't realise that the trip in the lifts was so high. Mrs T looking very summery and in a lovely pose, you would think that she was a model 😉 Most cruise ships visiting Mallorca dock at the Port of Palma, in the island's capital, Palma de Mallorca. The cruise terminals are located on the southwest side of the city, about 4–8 km from the historic centre and the cathedral. When docked, it's usually a 10–15 minute taxi ride or shuttle bus into the old town. Walking is possible and follows the seafront promenade, but it takes around 45–90 minutes depending on which terminal your ship uses. Enjoy and have fun (no excessive walking) then more pics please. 👌😎

What a beautiful picture @Fan of Big Tone all looks good for your exploration of Valletta Town centre. Apparently most visitors use the Barrakka Lift to go from the waterfront up to the city walls, avoiding the steep climb. Valletta is considered one of the easiest Mediterranean ports to explore independently because the old city is so close to the dock. Have a great day and don't forget the factor 50🧴 🤣

World Cup Thread 2026
Have to agree with @Robbie a great win for England in our first and most difficult opening game. The main concern for manager Thomas Tuchel will be the two goals conceded. Croatia exposed England's defence at times, and stronger opponents later in the tournament may punish those mistakes more severely. As for qualification, England are certainly in a strong position after taking three points from what many would consider their toughest group-stage match. However, qualification is not assured yet; they still need to finish the job against Ghana and Panama. If England maintain the attacking threat they showed against Croatia while tightening up defensively, they'll look like genuine contenders rather than just hopefuls.

@Fan of Big Tone i am glad that you were able to hear the Sea Organ, and nice and loud thanks to the boat. What a beautiful picture, sailing off into the sunset, you both should be at the front end doing the Titanic pose from the film 🫶 Today i have broken the handle of the fork. Went to the local DIY store and asked if they sold fork handles, and this is what what i was given🕯🕯🕯🕯 bring back memories anyone??

@Chris i have a left eye that runs every now and again (inherited from my grandmother) and it can be a pain having to look after it, so I sympathise with you. As far as ears are concerned, I remember friends at school who used to have grommets fitted due to swimming happening more than once a week, causing mayhem to them especially when removing. Mrs P suffers from vertigo and has been given several actions to take when it rears it's ugly head. One of them is sitting on the bed with pillows at her side and keeping torso straight moving towards the pillows, back up again and repeating 5 to 6 times, then the same on the other side. Another one is a cross about 40mm on white card, placing on a clear surface and sitting 4m away, focus on it then move your head left to right without taking your eyes off it. I hope things improve for you my friend. I hope Mrs T and your good self are still enjoying the cruise @Fan of Big Tone Croatia is supposed to be a special place and Zadar combines beautiful Adriatic coastline, Roman history, good food, and a more relaxed atmosphere. One of the city's most unique attractions is the Sea Organ. Waves push air through underwater pipes, creating haunting musical sounds. It's unlike anything else in Europe. Don't try blowing it though 😅

Notts’ growth under the Reedtz brother
@Matt That's a really interesting bit of research and it completely undermines the idea that Notts' growth is simply following a wider post-Covid trend. If the average attendance increase across League One and League Two clubs was 20.75%, then a 100.23% increase at Notts is clearly something exceptional rather than normal. Being almost five times the average and ranking sixth out of 48 clubs shows that what has happened at Meadow Lane is driven by factors specific to the club, not just a general rise in football attendances. The data suggests that the club has successfully re-engaged supporters, attracted new fans and built momentum both on and off the pitch. If performances continue and the club keeps progressing, there's every reason to believe attendances can rise further. For a club that was in the National League not long ago, it's a remarkable story and a great time to be a Notts fan.

2026 27 Notts summer recruitment doc
Thank you @ARLukomski for this in depth report on what is needed and where we get the answers from. I personally didn't realise that there were so many good football players available and the majority would be on a freebie. Let's hope the hierarchy have a good look and we pursue the talent needed for our up and coming journey into Division One. Once again thank you for opening my eyes. 👍⚽️🤔

Lovely pictures @Fan of Big Tone or is the middle pic one of Big Tone Towers being refurbished while you are away? Cartegena looks stunning, thank you for the photos they are much appreciated. We have just traveled up the east coast line to Leeds, and we are off to see Barry Manilow this evening. Bless him as he has fought lung cancer, then pneumonia to apparently finish his career in the UK. His love for his backing crew and fans has kept him going. Copa Cabanna, Could it be magic, Mandy, I write the songs, Bermuda Triangle and Can't smile without you, to name but a few. Mrs P is so excited and can't wait, I am having to tie her down until 17:45 when the taxi picks us up, doesn't seem to be working so the hotel bar will need a visit. 👌🍻 Please someone give me the strength 💪 Taken last time Mrs P saw him. 🤔👸

The Nest update in Left Lion
@Chris i have just been writing about my passion for Motorbikes, and i know they have a fantastic fan base, maybe a shot in the dark but watching races on the big screen with other like minded fans and the addition of food and drink could be something the Nest looks into. Racing is usually over a 3 day period with practice on the first day, second day morning practice and race for pole position with races in the afternoon, and third day free practice, then racing all day. With the Nest being easily accessible it wouldn't take much to advertise on social media and catch those who don't want to travel to say Brands Hatch (Kent) getting bums on seats, and keeping the Motorcycle fraternity happy.

Do any PON members have a sporting interest outside of Football?
Motorbike racing has been a passion of mine from my late teens to now, the likes of Barry Sheen, Kenny Roberts, Randy Mamola, Freddie Spencer, Eddie Lawson and a chap called Derek Chatterton. Not forgetting Rocket Ron Haslam, Steve Parish and of course Carl Foggerty. So much so I took on the mantle of becoming a Race Marshall and was fortunate to meet the riders and travel to most of the circuits in the UK. Today I still follow British Superbikes and the rider from Jacksdale Kyle Ryde, who has won the championship two years running and is leading in the early stages this year on his Ducati. Little does Kyle know that when a child prodigy Mrs P and myself helped raise money to keep him riding, with organised events at Jacksdale Welfare. 🏍 🏆

A very good morning one and all. Cartegena looks very nice @Fan of Big Tone sunshine 🌞 sea 🌊 and sounds like plenty of vino 🍷 hope that you and Mrs T get some great sightseeing under your belts. Just docked at the stables and believe it or not the sun shineth. Today is a day full of things and one to look forward to. The world cup wall chart is arriving also today, so I'll have to put it up before Mrs P returns from work, as it is rather large. 😀 ⚽️👍 hope everyone has a steady day.

Good morning @Fan of Big Tone and Mrs T or is it princess 👸 😉 sounds like you have had a super evening at the Captains celebration night. Keep on going like this and you both won't want to come home. The weather here is abysmal, plenty of rain and cooling down by the minute. Had a quick dash around the paddock this morning, feeding the boys, replenishing hay and poo picking, all done in a record time. Now trying to put together an email to our local councillor, attempting to radically change the plans for a 133 home estate being added to our 160 home estate, Fingers crossed 🤞 Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing. I know that Mrs T and your good self will @Fan of Big Tone take care.

Good day to you @Fan of Big Tone and a welcome aboard me hearties. The 6 meter waves don't sound very encouraging my friend, I hope that's the last you see of them 🌊 or it could get a little uncomfortable. Glad to hear the food is up to standard and you can't beat a little entertainment with your tipple 🍻 Hope you both have a great time 🚢.

Nice to see Stuart Maynard doing well
One of the most remarkable aspects of the season was that Stuart Maynard inherited a team that was only four league games into the campaign and sitting 12th when he arrived. By the end of the season, York were champions. The title race went right down to the final day against fellow promotion contenders Rochdale AFC. York needed a result and, after Rochdale scored in the 95th minute, it looked as though promotion had slipped away. Then Josh Stones equalised in the 103rd minute to secure promotion and the championship in dramatic fashion. Stuart Maynard's work was recognised at the National League awards, where he won Manager of the Season. All the best to Stuart and his team, if he carries on in this manner we could possibly come up against him in the 27/28 season 🤔⚽️

Weekly Chat Monday 1st to Sunday 7th June
A very good morning everyone, lovely day here in the paddock in the midshires. The weather forecast says rain around 10 so I'm getting all the job's done that Mrs P has asked me to do today, like splitting Myles's paddock to keep him from eating too much grass. Filling in a gigantic rabbit hole and washing the bath out and filling that. Nice to hear that you have received a lovely present @Chris and with your knowledge and understanding improved it immensely (I struggle to find the on/off switch never mind anything else). I thought thermal paste was for cleaning teeth 😁 silly me eh? I hope the preparations for Friday's departure are going well @Fan of Big Tone and you are ready to set sail. Have a great cruising holiday my friend, leave all behind and just chill 😎. @allardyces tash I think we are having one of those days once again, beautiful early morning then clouds of all dark colours followed by a little shower, then back to cloudy and now total downpour. Funny thing, the weather. Wonder what next year's supposed Super Nova will be like???? Thought for the day:- There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than a true friend.

Good morning everyone, a little damp here in the midshires, Mrs P is over the moon as rain means grass will grow more and horses will be well satisfied. Yet another funeral this morning to attend, and yet another colleague and friend gone too soon 😢 @Chris the wheelbarrow was a birthday present last year and Mrs P has done her floral magic, as she does with our garden every year. The craftsman you talk about was obviously picked on as those objecting had nothing better to do. Have a great day one and all.

Good morning everyone and @Fan of Big Tone the cruise buddy. I hope all your preparations for Friday go well and you sail into the sunset for a great holiday. Horses had the Farrier this morning for their 10 week trim and all went well thankfully, then fed and sorted until later. Off to the garden centre next to browse as Mrs P puts it, and maybe a little lunch if I'm a good boy 😇. The flowers in my wheelbarrow are flourishing just as our team is and long may it last. 🤠
