  1. What a fantastic achievement, big congratulations to your son @Fan of Big Tone and it was nice that the local children cheered him home, no wonder you are so proud. Isolate and forget @Fan of Big Tone go enjoy the break all will still be there on your return. 🥳😎 @Robbie your vehicle is more of an investment these days, second only to buying a house. The fact you have retired and do less milage vindicates the investment status. A bus pass also gives you another option for travel with no pressure on you driving and no milage added to the car, happy days 😀
  2. Glad to hear all went well @Robbie back on four wheels and not shank's pony. 👌
  3. Good morning one and all on this lovely sunny but chilly start to the day. @Fan of Big Tone it's great to see your son doing so well, and raising so much for charity. Can't even imagine how he felt seeing and hearing about the above. Turns my stomach and I haven't even been there. Tell him to keep on doing a great job. @Robbie I really hope you sort the car, and it doesn't cost too much. Cars can be expensive though as we have had to have all break pads changed at over £200, but safety comes before cost as far as I'm concerned as Mrs P does most of the driving for work. Hope you all have a good day.
  4. I have to agree with you all, the performance yesterday evening was a great follow on from Saturday. The players are leaving everything on the pitch. I thought Norburn had another solid game and Bedeau ruled the defence with hard work and skill, his goal definitely. Jodie Jones is improving game by game and is looking more like his old self again, what a shot that hit the bar, sublime. My vote goes to Jatta though, he held up play really well, defended when needed, scored one and set up a beauty for Dennis, awesome. All in all a great team performance carrying on from the last two, long may it last. COYP ⚽
  5. All that shoveling will put muscles on your muscles @DangerousSausage Lovely to hear Lenny had a good send off, he will certainly be walking the walk in valhalla, holding his head high with total pride i bet. Sounds like Eddie is going to be a star from day one, and will definitely fit in. What a lovely story, one for the archives me thinks. Long live Eddie.
  6. @Fan of Big Tone very nice, enjoy. There definitely is a sense of calm in Costa Teguise, that's why we like it so much. The sort of place there is no demand or temptation to do anything energetic. Nice beach and restaurants all within walking distance. Happy days ahead me thinks. 🌞🍻
  7. Ditto @Fan of Big Tone it's the same here in the mid shires. Not looking good for the week, with wind, rain and cold forecast. You slink off and enjoy the sunshine in Lanzarote and don't forget your budgie smugglers 😀 🌞 Lanzarote is my favourite island in the canaries especially the Puerto del Carmen area and Costa Teguise. Been there numerous times and always had great weather, where abouts are you going to? Wherever you go, have a lovely time. 👍
  8. Great to hear @Fan of Big Tone that you saw @Chris yesterday. I was beginning to think things had turned a little negative for him, as he hasn't been seen on Pon for a while. Perhaps if we let him know that we are all here for him, our thoughts, prayers and blessings, just reach out and let us help. No one ever needs to be alone in our community, just a message and help is at the forefront. On here or even face to face, never suffer in silence, there is always a way forward. 🙏
  9. Great performance in both halves and 3 good points, but hey ho we couldn't score in a brothel with a ten bob note behind our ears. Swindon will have a field day on Tuesday evening if we don't buck our ideas up. Scoring boots needed you Pies.
  10. Nice one @liampie as sometimes it takes guts and determination to want to advance your career as you are doing. Training can be tedious at times especially if the content is matter of fact, laws and regulations. As a past trainer myself, I used to try and put myself behind the desk, so to speak and try different approaches and methods, sometimes adding a little fun and games to highlight methodology, regs and difficult areas. Always look at what you are achieving and the satisfaction of that achievement, in the knowledge that all the hard work leads to more opportunities, giving you and yours a better life. But never forget the most important thing Work, Life Balance. We are all here for you @liampie and please don’t forget that.
  11. Today i would like to wish everyone a happy Thursday 😊 although the weather is doing it's own thing, chins up me hearties. Antibiotics not kicked in as yet, one has to be positive, oh yessssssss. Sorry to hear that the jaw problems are not subsiding @DangerousSausage I suppose Witchdoctors, if last resort need to be seen. I remember a story years ago where Sting and his wife Trudy went deep into the Amazon forest for a similar consultation, came out on top of the world but lost 3 days after taking some concoction from him. What a beautiful picture @Fan of Big Tone a sight to raise the hair on the back of your neck. How is your Son doing now? Hope he's taking in all the sights. @Piethagoram I hope your trip to Cromer went well and wasn't too bracing.
  12. Once again my faithful friend Freddie is here to help. Birmingham City 2 v 1 Stoke City QPR 1 v 2 Wrexham Doncaster Rovers 2 v 2 Wigan Athletic Stevenage 1 v 3 Mansfield Town Barrow 0 v 2 Crawley Town Bromley 1 v 0 Swindon Town Eastleigh 2 v 0 Halifax Town Woking 2 v 1 Yeovil Town Here begineth the start of the end of mine and Freddies choices to behold. Good luck all from me and my slinky sidekick. ⚽
  13. @DangerousSausage this is for you. An Ode to 'Lenny' Sausage Towers will never be the same, Without our Lenny, yes that's his name. He came from an egg, but not all there, Didn't matter to Lenny, he didn't care. Official Budgie of PON Prediction League, Always on the move, full of intrigue. Exploring all, as did Edmundson and Scott, Full of spirit and guile, frightened not. Each and every corner, leaving nothing to chance, Walking all the way, led all a merry dance. The memories you gave will never die, As off into the sunset you gently fly. RIP Lenny.
  14. More antibiotics and the rest of the month at home. Happy days 🤫
  15. Yes please, i would like to get rid of the chest infection that has followed last weeks UTI (waterworks) Yet another visit to see my Doctor this afternoon, probably more antibiotics? On the other hand @Fan of Big Tone i think it's an age thing, once over 60 ish everyone seems to be leaving us. The amount of friends, family and colleagues that are ill, suffering or dying increase year by year 😔 we remember them fondly, but life is for living and we are the fortunate ones.
  16. A first half to forget for both teams, you can tell they hadn't played competative football for a while. A positive performance from Mr Belshaw bolstered us, and a great strike from Mr Jones settled us a little. Them going down to 10 men didn't help as it looked as though we thought the game won, they had different Idea's though. A 3 point gain away from home is a bonus and the start hopefully of a decent run of games. COYP
  17. No i totally agree @Fan of Big Tone there were not any takers once advertised. Cannot imagine why? ☹️☠️
  18. Thank you @theAnticlough for your concern, I think the antibiotics are doing the trick. @Fan of Big Tone I have a distant memory of how your son feels as I was coerced into completing the New York marathon in 2003 for charity and by hook or by crook a time of 5 hours 12 minutes was recorded and what a great sight Central Park was, little did I know there was still over a mile to go. Secondly, once again i volunteered to walk a hundred miles of the Great Wall of China, what excitement as this was the furthest I had ever travelled. But comradery and a little alcohol worked wonders until I drank from a bottle that had been urinated on by rats, resulting in dysentery and the best diet ever, a loss of 3 stone in 10 days. The rest is history, I wish your Son well.
  19. @Fan of Big Tone saddle soreness is par for the course I'm afraid. Treatment is key especially with petroleum jelly 🤣
  20. To think of others is brilliant, to actually do for others is a privilege. I wish your son @Fan of Big Tone a happy and trouble free journey. May his kindness and thoughtfulness be rewarded with a safe and painfree 650k.
  21. Freddie giving the scores from his bed. The scores are in. Charlton Athletic 1 v 2 Sheffield United Stoke City 2 v 0 QPR Northampton Town 2 v 2 Wycombe Wanderers Peterborough United 3 v 1 Plymouth Argyle 🃏 Oldham Athletic 2 v 1 Cheltenham Town Shrewsbury Town 1 v 1 Harrogate Town Brackley Town 2 v 2 Yeovil Town Wealdstone 2 v 1 Woking He's on the ball this week is our Freddie, good luck everyone 👍 😀
  22. I love the fact that Belshaw is a Notts fan who grew up in Clifton, was a mascot as a boy, grew up supporting Notts, played for Clifton All Whites, played for Notts Academy. I totally agree with @Fan of Big Tone one of our own and full of enthusiasm and experience can only be a positive. The great thing about his experience is that it's been gained at different levels and includes the joyful feelings of promotion and the fighting for said promotions. His attitude and demeanor show how focused and happy he is becoming part of a winning machine. Welcome to our collective James, may your contribution be towards the greater good. ⚽️
  23. @Fan of Big Tone thank you, it's much appreciated. Also thank the Lord for Antibiotics. 👍
  24. Good morning one and all, nice to see a clear picture, and as @Fan of Big Tone says all the treacherous surfaces have been replaced by easy going ones. Hope you have a nice pleasant walk, and for Mrs T, steady as she goes. Not my usual self this morning, think I have a water infection, so off to the doctors later to find out. Antibiotics should hopefully do the trick. Have a good day everyone and make the most of the weather as its changing over the week.
  25. I think lull before the storm, what devastation has storm Garetti played at our doorstep. 🌨️ Had to fetch the gaffers two horses in at 5 this morning, fighting through snow, wind and freezing conditions. She is happy now they are warm and fed, bless them. Then a drive to deliver her, and make sure she gets to work, Side roads are a little iffy and the 614 isn't great either. I think the council have gritted but not pushed the snow to the side , which i think would of been possible and made things safer for all. Back now to have a day working from home, happy days 😊
