Weekly Chat Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd February
Good morning one and all. @Fan of Big Tone you have my total sympathy as the loss of a long standing good friend is like losing a limb, you become lost without it. I hope everything goes well at his life celebration. As for me, first day back after weeks of illness. Not really looking forward to it, but sometimes you have to bite the bullet. Probably the saving grace is handing in my notice after 43 years, time to turn the page and embrace my family and life itself. 🥳 Weather not too bad today, especially after what we've had lately, still had hat and gloves on to come to work, also a little rainy now. Whatever you are up to today, have a good one and keep smiling 😃 as it is infectious. 👍

How to beat Bromley
To beat Bromley in the English football league, you need a patient approach. They often set up in a 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 shape, so you can exploit the wings with wide players and overload the final third. Also, focus on set pieces, since they tend to concede from them, and press early and late to take advantage of their structure. From this our team choice is paramount and the inclusion of players such as Robertson and Iorpenda central with Jodie and Tsaroulla playing wingback, and Norburn in the number 10 role. However the defence is also key and Macari, Platt and Bedeau need to keep playing with the gusto and determination they have over the past six games especially.

Weekly Chat Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February
@Fan of Big Tone thank you for the link, much appreciated. Looks like you have to wait for the written invitation, apparently you have to wait until it's the turn of your surgery to get one. 🥴👍

Weekly Chat Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February
Thank you @Fan of Big Tone for your kind words from me and Mrs P, she is on temporary tablets for the short term but if it persists a long term version is available. Nice one regarding the lung CT Scan, never had a sniff of that, must be new, is it. Good news with the roof man hopefully sorting things out.

Weekly Chat Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February
Good morning from the midshires. I was thinking of Sangria to be honest @Fan of Big Tone as it compliments both sun and sea whilst away in sunny climes. If there is something else please enlighten me as my memory is not as good as it used to be. 🤣 My chest is improving day by day thank you, and I hope to return to normality on Monday the 16th of February. Mrs P has now had her second bout of the dreaded Vertigo, not nice, and is off too, once again pills are doing the trick. 👍 The weather here has taken a change for the better as I can see a little sunshine 🌞 whoops it gone. Milder though than it has been for a while. Hey @Fan of Big Tone did you manage to sort the roof? My Osteopath told me that the exercises for arms and legs can be done at home with resistant bands, increasing resistance as you go, if that helps. I hope everyone has a good day. Live long and Prosper. 😎🖖

Weekly Chat Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February
Good morning one and all. @Fan of Big Tone at least you have the wonderful memories made of sun, sea and what other 'S' you choose to look back on 🌞😎 The wet weather has been falling in some parts of the UK for 40 days (biblical stories come to mind). I think we have to be grateful that on Saturday the forecast is wall to wall sunshine, happy days. Back to the doctors today as the Chest Infection has not subsided at all, starting to get fed up of it now 😮💨 still there are more people far worse off than myself, so chin up and off we go. 👍 Whatever you are up to today, enjoy and make the most of it.

Match Discussion: League Two - Barrow (A)
Grit and determination has been our forte over these past few weeks, keeping us all on the edge of our seats. We now have a squad with plenty of variety and depth, but for the next test we have to be at our best. Converting chances needs to be the aim, to put us firmly in the frame. So come on County do us proud, enabling your praises to be shouted loud.

Who's your Man of the Match v Barrow?
In this game of locking horns with a stubborn Barrow side, having a definite disrupt at all cost attitude, I thought Bedeau was an example to his team mates, Leading from the front. I agree with @YoopEyes Matty Platt is now firing on all cylinders and was a contender. My vote goes to Nick Tsaroulla, like @Fan of Big Tone says he was superb all over the pitch, giving and making options for himself and others.

Weekly Chat Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th February (edit from January)
My condolences @Fan of Big Tone it's never easy losing anyone especially a close friend. Prostate cancer is a silent killer and takes no prisoners. My father (God bless him) insisted that from the age of 50 i should approach the doctor regarding a PSA test, as my Grandad and Uncle had it and passed away. In March 2017 I was diagnosed with the Cancer, what a shock. In November that same year it was removed, in and out again in 3 days. Unfortunately I fell ill after being home for one night (SEPSIS) blue lighted back in and 17 days later returned home, the rest is history. I cannot reiterate enough how important it is to get tested.

Weekly Chat Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th February (edit from January)
Good morning one and all and thanks for the health wishes. Cold and damp with a little added mist for effect here in the midshires this morning. Not a day for venturing far me thinks. Today is a day for reflection so please read on :- "Our hope is what can sustain us when things look bleak and difficult. And that is the reason why I believe that hopelessness is the enemy of justice. Justice will prevail if we allow ourselves to give in to hopelessness. Hope is our superpower. It's the thing that will get some of us to stand up, even when people say, sit down. That will get some of us to speak, even when people say, be quiet It's the thing that will get us to believe we can do things that maybe others think we can't do." - Bryan Stevenson Thank you Bryan.

Who's your Man of the Match v Gillingham?
I have to say the same @Robbie and @theAnticlough this was a game fought and battled from the trenches. The legs save in the first half and unbelievable saves in the dying moments to give us a clean sheet, it's a no brainer James Belshaw is the man.
-
Match Discussion: League 2: Gillingham (H)
A really scruffy performance, but we battled for the 3 points. Belshaw saved our bacon when he made several fantastic saves late on, so onwards and upwards 🙌 bring on Barrow.

Weekly Chat Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th February (edit from January)
Good day to you @Fan of Big Tone I'm glad Lanzarote is warm and sunny for you both. County did us proud at the weekend, battling the pitch, weather and Fleetwood. Still suffering with this chest infection, hopefully the x ray I've had will show something. Weather cold but dry today, not my ideal day for going far. Rain forecast on and off for the rest of the week, so break out those umbrellas. 🌧☔️

Prediction league 25/26 round 30 - Saturday 31 January

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
What a fantastic achievement, big congratulations to your son @Fan of Big Tone and it was nice that the local children cheered him home, no wonder you are so proud. Isolate and forget @Fan of Big Tone go enjoy the break all will still be there on your return. 🥳😎 @Robbie your vehicle is more of an investment these days, second only to buying a house. The fact you have retired and do less milage vindicates the investment status. A bus pass also gives you another option for travel with no pressure on you driving and no milage added to the car, happy days 😀

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
Glad to hear all went well @Robbie back on four wheels and not shank's pony. 👌

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
Good morning one and all on this lovely sunny but chilly start to the day. @Fan of Big Tone it's great to see your son doing so well, and raising so much for charity. Can't even imagine how he felt seeing and hearing about the above. Turns my stomach and I haven't even been there. Tell him to keep on doing a great job. @Robbie I really hope you sort the car, and it doesn't cost too much. Cars can be expensive though as we have had to have all break pads changed at over £200, but safety comes before cost as far as I'm concerned as Mrs P does most of the driving for work. Hope you all have a good day.

Who's your Man of the Match v Swindon?
I have to agree with you all, the performance yesterday evening was a great follow on from Saturday. The players are leaving everything on the pitch. I thought Norburn had another solid game and Bedeau ruled the defence with hard work and skill, his goal definitely. Jodie Jones is improving game by game and is looking more like his old self again, what a shot that hit the bar, sublime. My vote goes to Jatta though, he held up play really well, defended when needed, scored one and set up a beauty for Dennis, awesome. All in all a great team performance carrying on from the last two, long may it last. COYP ⚽

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
All that shoveling will put muscles on your muscles @DangerousSausage Lovely to hear Lenny had a good send off, he will certainly be walking the walk in valhalla, holding his head high with total pride i bet. Sounds like Eddie is going to be a star from day one, and will definitely fit in. What a lovely story, one for the archives me thinks. Long live Eddie.

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
@Fan of Big Tone very nice, enjoy. There definitely is a sense of calm in Costa Teguise, that's why we like it so much. The sort of place there is no demand or temptation to do anything energetic. Nice beach and restaurants all within walking distance. Happy days ahead me thinks. 🌞🍻
-
Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
Ditto @Fan of Big Tone it's the same here in the mid shires. Not looking good for the week, with wind, rain and cold forecast. You slink off and enjoy the sunshine in Lanzarote and don't forget your budgie smugglers 😀 🌞 Lanzarote is my favourite island in the canaries especially the Puerto del Carmen area and Costa Teguise. Been there numerous times and always had great weather, where abouts are you going to? Wherever you go, have a lovely time. 👍

Weekly Chat Monday 19th to Sunday 25th January
Great to hear @Fan of Big Tone that you saw @Chris yesterday. I was beginning to think things had turned a little negative for him, as he hasn't been seen on Pon for a while. Perhaps if we let him know that we are all here for him, our thoughts, prayers and blessings, just reach out and let us help. No one ever needs to be alone in our community, just a message and help is at the forefront. On here or even face to face, never suffer in silence, there is always a way forward. 🙏
