  3. It will be a tough match because Sporting Khalsa are one step higher in the football pyramid. The Ladies will have to play at the top of their game to get a result.
  4. Looks like it's going to be a reasonable attendance tonight.
  5. So Man Utd have their man. He was the only candidate that they interviewed. I wish him luck in his new position. He will definitely need it. Utd will have huge expectations that he can forge success for them. It is also an eye opener that he hasn't been appointed Team Manager but First Team Coach. Caretaker Head Coach, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, will now revert back to an assistant Coach. So the continental style will continue to be practised at Man U. Probably a 3-4-2-1 that Notts also predominantly use. The big six clubs in the land will all continue to have foreign coaches who they have all preferred in recent years. There was a possibility that Gareth Southgate could have took the job but he wasn't approached.

  14. Good afternoon. Another cloudy day here, & it's been a bit dreary all morning & into the Afternoon. Did you know, In 1066, in the invasion of England, King William the Conqueror made Sherwood Forest a Royal Hunting Forest.Sherwood Forest was frequently visited by the Mercian Kings. When the Domesday Book was compiled in 1086, Sherwood Forest covered perhaps a quarter of Nottinghamshire (approximately 19,000 acres) in woodland & heath subject to the forest laws. The forest gives its name to the Parliamentary constituency of Sherwood Forest (formerly Sherwood before the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies) Mansfield anciently became the pre-eminent in importance among the towns of the Forest.
