  1. Goal Panthers, Hugo Roy: 1:2 v Steelers
  2. We ought to have a VAR watch on here. More VAR controversy. Watching the Fulham v Newcastle match the ball comes off a Newcastle arm, the changes direction of the ball, and another Newcastle player scores thank you very much. It's a definite hand ball but goes to VAR and the goal given. Premier league cash rich Newcastle get the benefit. They were saying on the commentary that if that incident had happened in Europe, the goal would have been disallowed. Football's laws are just not consistent anymore across the World. How has that happened?
  3. Jodi and Aaron combining for our equaliser today.
  4. Going out this evening, it will be largely dry, feeling a little chilly in the east.
  5. I'm pleased with a draw today. A reasonable start for Stuart as Head Coach. Barrow are a well drilled physical side are not where they are in the league for nothing, they are hard to break down and have one of the best defences in the league. I would have taken a draw at the start and due to the results above us, the draw hasn't worked out two bad for us.As for the game, our first 15 minutes was poor, we could have been 2:0 down but we improved after that, Jodi did what he has been doing for us week after week by his assist for our equaliser and Aaron has found his scoring boots with 5 goals in 5 matches In the second half we looked the better side without really creating a lot. Some of Barrow's challenges went unpunished and the synical foul on Jodi should have seen a red card. Didn't see any real changes in our shape, that will come with time, but the all round performance today was better, including our defence. On to Mansfield for our next game.
  6. Team news for tonight's match between Panthers and Steelers.
  7. So looking forward to this game, we know the negatives and we know the positives, if Stuart's plan today cuts down on the negatives we can beat anyone in this league. It won't be long now.
  8. Totally agree with you @DangerousSausage when VAR was introduced I thought it would stop or just reduce these contentious decisions but they have increased under VAR. The offside rule needs clarifying by FIFA, & a standard introduced, such as for example, the whole body of an attacker needs to be in front of the defender before the attacker is deemed offside.
  9. Should be good weather for the match this afternoon, with a good crowd expected too. Great weather, great atmosphere.
  10. End of the third day if the 1st test match, India v England with England on 316 for 6, a lead of 126. Nottinghamshire's Ben Duckett scored 47 with Ollie Pope 148 not out. It should be a fascinating morning's cricket tomorrow with England desperate to stretch that lead so they have something to bowl at.
  11. Disruption of TV signals could happen today due to atmospheric conditions
  12. Match day. Panthers v Sheffield Steelers. Elite League, Motorpoint Arena. 7pm. Looks like it's going to be a sellout tonight for the fiercest rivalry in British Ice Hockey.
  13. A chilly start to Saturday morning.
  14. I am looking forward to looking at the tactical changes and possible change of shape for the Barrow Match later today. I'm sure there will be lots to talk about afterwards.
  15. @KB1862 The Man C investigation has been stalling for months and months now. In a few months the authorities are changing the FFP rules, so Man C will probably benefit in a big way from that change. Why is it that Football fans think things are stacked up so in favour of the top six when clubs like Everton have a verdict decided so quickly, but with Man City, it's delay after delay At least a specimen charge or charges could have been layed against Man C to get a decision quickly, so justice is seen to be being done.
  16. Spurs are a big club, but Man C are even bigger and again, Man C seemed to get the benefit of the doubt when it appeared that the Spurs goalie had been impeded by a Man City player following a Man C corner, near the end of the FA Cup match last night. The goal was given despite clear evidence that there was pushing and shoving immediately before the Man C goal. But VAR didn't see enough to warrant the goal being disallowed. If it has been the other way round would a Spurs goal has been disallowed? I'm sure it would have been.
  17. India v England day three. England are on 299/6 with Pope 142 not out.
  18. A chilly start to Saturday morning.
